Enjoy a stay at a comfortable, high quality apartment situated on the grounds of a 500 year old traditional Austrian farm. From the apartment you have direct access to the dreamy river Mattig, wonderful walking trails in the adjacent forest and only a 10 minute walk to the Mattsee Lake. This homey location offers a perfect starting point for trips to Salzburg and the beautiful surrounding Salzburger Land & Upper Austria areas that offer many more lakes and outdoor experiences.
The apartment (78m2) is newly renovated and fully equipped for guests to stay in this wonderful area all year round. It is a perfect place for 4 people (2 double beds in 2 separate bedrooms divided by a bathroom) but there is enough bedding to easily host six people with the sofa-bed in the living room. The place includes everything you need to cater for yourself: a well-functioning kitchen with oven, dish-washer, kettle, coffee machine and all utensils, e.g, pots, pans, cutlery etc. For lazy nights in, there is a TV and access to endless Netflix movies!

The apartment is located on the 1st floor above a former "Heuriger" - a typically Austrian restaurant serving local homemade food. Though the restaurant is currently not serviced, there is an outdoor private bar which can be made available. There are two balconies to enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings but you have also use of the garden under the linden tree for BBQs and there is also a children’s play area. Full breakfast is available on request.

The farm is run by a Family with the three generations living in separate farm house buildings. You will mainly interact with me and for the few weeks that I may not be there, my mum (who is an award winning baker and connoisseur of local herbs) will be happy to guide you through the farm and any questions you may have (German, and basic English). I am always available by phone in case of further questions.
Outras coisas a ter em conta
The farm is operational: we have around 2000 happy chickens, laying lots of happy eggs! In the summer months we pick fruits to make jam and other local delicacies. We also offer courses, such as bread baking, and cooking classes for jam and traditional Austrian foods. You may also be able to inspect and learn about the history of farm machinery and how it has changed over the years.
