Luca Robustelli’s Cafaggio is nestled amidst the lush green hills of the river Chioma. This coastal valley is one of the finest bio diverse reserves of Italy. The house is made from the old stones of Cafaggio Castle and is blessed with sweet water from a spring.
Luca is setting up a large organic farm using permaculture. He uses ancient wisdom of working gently with the abundance of Nature. The vegetables, eggs, salads, herbs used in the food come from his own farm and are fresh, delicious.
The Cafaggio house is a comfortable space with large rooms and beautiful view of the valley from all sides. The stone walls keep the temperature in the house regulated, making it cozy, inside. There is a modern shared bathroom for the guests. For those who wish to enjoy a hot shower in the nature, there is one fitted in the bushes. You can shower with a view of the valley under the warm sun. In the house, there is a library on topics related to organic farming, natural medicine, plants, herbs etc.
The farm is just 15 minutes walk from the bus stop that takes you to Gabbro (nearest village) markets. The beautiful port city of Livorno is just 9 km and 19 minutes by bus. The most adventurous ones can walk 6km to the sea front through the beautiful hills, as they sight wild birds under the coastal sun. It is a Livorno is well-connected to other cities (Rome, Pisa, Florence, Lucca etc) of Italy by train. The nearest airport is in Pisa, which is only 12 minutes train ride from Livorno.
This is a perfect place to detoxify yourself from the digital and mechanical noise of city. Since it is a Regional park (protected area), the mobile networks are selective and there are a few zones on the farm where you get phone and internet network. You will stay connected with the world but not be bothered by its constant invasion.

The park administration does no allow stray vehicles inside, so there are no cars in the entire regional valley. Guests can bring cars after taking permission. There is sufficient parking for the guests who bring cars.

Homemade pasta courses, bakery, regenerative farming, excursions to the Livorno Mountains Park, hiking to the sea and much more.
The farm is also a great school to WWOOF and learn very fine and functional farming techniques.
