We enjoyed having you stay in our home. We definitely appreciate feedback and are glad you communicated your experience so that we can attempt to help clear it up for you. For your peace of mind and for that of others I would like to give a response to your review.
Your first concern was about a camper on the property. This was a personal camper and was set separate from the rest of the property. It was placed there temporarily and I can assure you there was no one living in it. However, we do have two Airbnb rental spaces on property as is stated in the description of our Chalet. This time of year we often have guests who leave early (even 4am) to hike 14ers and I wonder if you may have heard that.
Your second concern was dealt with quickly and easily before the next guest arrived. Thank you for bringing our attention to it so we could resolve the problem quickly. We have not encountered this type of problem in the entire time we have owned the home and hope it is resolved permanently. We would have happily refunded a night’s stay had it been requested. Please message me personally if you would like to begin dialogue about this.
And lastly, as far as pricing I would advise that anyone making a reservation at any accommodations would verify fees and taxes before finalizing their booking. I am sorry you felt it unreasonable. Airbnb does charge fees and taxes beyond what the hosts receive, including taxes on behalf of the hosts which is a wonderful way to take care of their hosts. We are often advised to raise our prices especially in consideration of the hotel prices in Buena Vista. An average price for a hotel room here is a higher price than our entire home. That is the way it goes with a tourist town I suppose. Our desire is a great space with an affordable price.
Please accept my apologies that your stay was not what you hoped.
