Maggie did reserve the condos in September when we had a beach. The photos were accurate then, and right up to Thanksgiving, when we had a couple of days of unusual huge and very early northern swell storms that actually removed our beach. I am on the board of directors, I know that we had to rush to find an available company, and add sandbags, which was completed on December 9, 11 days prior to Maggie arriving. I was not sure if the beach would have been back by then or not back. I did send out a letter to her warning her that I was not sure of what was going to happen when she was there. Since the El Nino of 2016, we have had crazy shoreline weather all over the world. This includes Houston, Florida, all of Hawaii, the East and West coasts of the USA. We are taking measures to place the beach sand, that is in the nearshore ocean, back on the beach. We are not sure if mother nature will beat us to it. Luckily, we are on a long beach, and our guests are welcome to use the entire beach to the south of us if this situation continues. I am so sorry this happened to you right before your visit. I am not sure what will happen in the future, except to say, one way or the other we will have our beach back.
