This apartment was in a nice location and super convenient for everything we were doing, at a really great price.
Victoria was very responsive and even gave us a small discount when the air mattress she promised was unavailable.
The place is cute, but without another mattress, the futon in the living room will only be appropriate to the most stoic sleeper. The bathroom has good pressure and the kitchen is well-stocked, since it appears that Victoria lives here at least part-time.
Which brings me to the only real warning: this is not a vacation rental. You will be renting someone's apartment. The host's personal items are in the home. While that makes it cozy, I was always concerned that if I opened a closet looking, for example, to find an iron, I might instead find someone's undergarment drawer. Still, it's really just like staying in someone's house when they get their kid to take the couch and as long as you aren't too nosy for no reason, the risk is minimal.
The location in Royal Oak is the star here, as the place is just a couple of blocks to a vibrant Main Street with great food and coffee shops.
All in all, a lovely place to stay.
