House is clean and well equipped. The kitchen is filled with everything you'd need for cooking. The house can get warm during the day, we were advised to just open windows and use fans. Air conditioners are installed throughout but we were not sure if they were working and did no…

Carl is a great host. He gave us a grand tour on the house during our check in. The house is much better than we expected. We had a great time during our stay, and we will definitely come back!

We paid a lot of money for this house all together initially with the basic assumption and courtesy that our host will provide heating, a grill, and to supply us with most household items including blankets which I’ve seen so minimal of. The heating was set at 65 degrees & imposs…

Chrck in was delayed due to a major accident on I-80, sat in traffic for over 2 hours delaying their early checkin from 2:00 to 3:15. At the arranged time they were not there. I had to wait nearly an hour for them to show at the meeting point. Checked them in at the office and got updated vehicle tags. Got to house by 4:45. They unloaded three cases of beer, and a case of liquor consisting of whiskey, vodka and a couple other unidentified bottles. They said they were they to do snow sports which I took to be skiing/snowboarding, etc. they declared that was not their plan on arrival. House was at 68 and there was a lock box on the gas fireplace as three previous guests had broke the unit. Cranked it to 100 degrees, the broke screens opening roof vents. Thermostat set at 65 degrees downstairs would give you 80 degrees upstairs. Unannounced visir was to clear snow on Sunday. I know it is out of control. Four inches of snow and landlord shows Sunday afternoon to clear the driveway and deck. Who does that, really? I knocked on the door, said hello, how is everthing? Have any garbage or recyclables as I can take them now. Took two bags of garbage and multiple cardboard cases from soda and beer. Handed out from front door that was freshly shoveled and salted. No entry or spying. Told them if there was snow, I would be there in the afternoon to clear. At 2:36 am on monday received a text they wanted to check out at noon as they were up late partying. No word of bugs or any problems. Excuse was there was snow. Monday AM they are hiding in cars, won’t do walk through. There is a garbage bag of empty cans bottles in kitchen and floor is covered with water. There is an empty bottle of vodka on the counter that leaked all over. A ping pong ball behind the tv they lost. Cake stains on the carpet, bathroom floor and and kitchen ceiling. Vomit on the downstairs bathroom floor and towels filled with vomit. My wife was ready to throw up because of it. Then there was the holes in the walls. Three fist sized holes in two walls, tried to hide it with bad paint and spacking job, as well as paint on the pictures that were covering the holes in the wall. Found an open can of paint they found in the garage and opened in to attempt to hide the damage open in the upstairs closet. Who puts holes in multiple walls if they are not drunk and out of control? Ceiling fans were on and the pull cords were broken off. No one knew where they went. And then there was the garbage, recycling is required. Dumped, not in bags and all over the yard. They didn’t try to clean up and left empty beer cans all over the property as well as unexploded fireworks under the deck and spent firecrackers and other fireworks expended in the driveway and in the yard, despite being told they were prohibited in the association. Security called as they were seen wandering on the properties of neighbors and one witness said they tried to enter a neighbor’s home. Security gave them a verbal warning. As for the fireplace, there was no call but they took the pieces apart. And when I arrived the heat pump heads were on full set at 89 degrees and upstairs was a sauna at over 100 degrees and two bedroom windows were open. Smoke detector was removed as it wouldn’t shut off as they had burned food. Showed them where the grill was in the shed as it is February. They said they knew how to work it, but I guess they didnt. Turn on gas, press ignition button. Difficult. I found two packs of camel cigarettes leftbin thevupstairs bedroom and there were two cans of febreeze in living room. I am allergic, I smelled smoke. They denied it and blamed it on a guy that was too flatulent. Really, two cans? I smelled the smoke, it makes me sneeze. And then they broke a dining room chair. Claimed it was broke beforehand. My cleaning lady has done rentals cleaning for over 20 years and has never seen such filthy pigs. Stanley Steemer carpet cleaning guy shook his head and warned me not to rent to kids from the city. He has seen too many nice homes trashed. So I cannot rent the house until I fix the walls, lost a rental for this weekend as I could not in good faith rent the house when there was damage that needed repairing. Just how I want to spend my days off, repairing damage left by spoiled children. Will work through airbnb to resolve damage costs, if that doesn’t work, they will see court summons to appear in Pennsylvania. Really, it cost me hundreds more to restore from the damage they did, compared to rental income. No more renting to spoiled, drunken city brats that trash the house. Families only.
