Very open concept, no privacy for sleeping areas. Worked ok for 4 adults but, don’t expect to use the loft beds. We slept on the couch. Keypad didn’t work well and the toilet faces a cabinet with no room to sit. Kitchen was great. Very small cabin. Very close to snowmobile trail.

I’m so sorry Shellie was not satisfied with her visit. She and her three friends paid $160/nite to stay in a lovely rustic cabin with well appointed kitchen 200’ from the best snowmobiling trails in the country. If she felt that was not worth $40 per person per night I’m confused. There is a basic motel across the street where they would have paid at least $100 per night per couple and, in addition, would have had to purchase all their meals. I suggest that for their next trip. The cabin was accurately photographed and described with no attempt to make it look or seem large. It is cozy. As far as privacy goes, there is privacy for toilet and bathing. If they were looking for a two-couple romantic weekend, motel rooms would have worked better for them. Perhaps they could have made that clear and asked about privacy. The cabin was clearly described in the ad. It states one full sized bed, one futon in a common area and four single beds in a loft. That is totally accurate. The complaint about being cold while they opened the door seems rather curious. It is very cold in the Upper Peninsula in February. Locks are necessary. Combination locks can be somewhat sticky in cold weather. Don’t know what more to say about that. Adults have been sleeping in the loft all winter. This is the first complaint. Adults have been using (I assume) the toilet all winter with no complaints previously. Of course I don’t know how large Shellie and her group are so maybe it was more of a problem for them. Again, if that is the case, the responsibility was on her to make it clear before she made the reservation. I believe this review was very harsh and unfair. Perhaps they were not expecting it to be an actual cabin. If Shellie and her group were in a pinch, I would not be willing to host her again.

Born and raised in the UP. Spent many happy days swimming, fishing and camping in this area. I found this rustic, charming cabin and feel like I really lucked out. Now I'd like to share it with others.
