It is to note this historic home was the second house built on Lake Murray, and first home on the lake to be used as a full time residence. As the Lake Murray area has become more populated, the neighboring land has been developed into a neighborhood yet we were fortunate to be able to keep the home, owners residence and the surrounding family land (which includes heritage camellias, azaleas, and magnolia trees) preserved and saved from modern development. The home includes the original 100 year old heart pine wood floors, walls and ceiling. The functioning oven/stove sits on top of the original brick hearth where the wood burning stove once stood. These are touches we hope our guest will find unique and add to their get-away vacation. The family has worked to preserve the vintage charm of the home while adding modern amenities over the years.
