It was great to have Natalie and Jodie for the weekend. Unfortunately, the lock box option that we've had for some time, was denied us by Management of the Resort, during our recent absence overseas i.e. our mail room, where the lock box is located, now requires swipe access! Which means self check in is no longer an option for now.
This meant we had no option other than to be there at Check in.
We always meet our Guests at an agreed time, and we had made arrangements some time ago with our Guests for an early check.
Unfortunately, many aspects of communication were challenging e.g. our Guest Registration has been a standard for 5 years and a printed copy was provided on arrival. It has been completed by many other guests, without an issue. However, we will explore "electronic" option, as suggested.
Also, enquiring or advising about vehicle height concerns, just prior to arriving, when undercover secure parking is clearly stated, caused some distress.
Nonetheless, as reviewed, all other aspects were great and Natalie's feedback was terrific and very much appreciated.
It's unfortunate that the hostility towards Airbnb, generated in the public domain by adverse media reports, has now meant far greater challenges for both Hosts and Guests.
Operating in this climate and environment, requires far greater understanding, tolerance and respect, by Hosts and Guests.
Most importantly, with the busy lives we all lead, being responsive with clear, prompt and accurate communications, is even more important, even essential nowadays.
