Welcome to Dalmuir Homestead, a spacious and gracious 1930s property, that oozes olde world charm and delightful quirky touches. Dalmuir will remind you of simpler times, when home comforts and quality time with family, was what a holiday was all about.

If excellent beach location is your no.1 requirement, for your next beach escape, then Dalmuir definitely ticks the box. The street is off Point Nepean Rd and the house only a 50m stroll before you're on the sand of Dromana beach.

Early morning beach dips or evening strolls in search of icecream up the street, are all easy options when the beach and Dromana shops are so easily reached from Dalmuir House.

This lovely fuss free timber home is welcoming from the moment you step inside, whilst from the front wrap round verandah, you can enjoy gorgeous vistas of the sand and sparkling water of Dromana Beach just beyond.

Dalmuir offers 3 bedrooms in the main house, 1 x queen + 1 x single, 1 x queen + 2 x singles, and 1 x queen and so comfortably accommodates up to 9 people. There is also a seperate bungalow for extra rental offers 1 x double + 1 x single + 1 x single bunks and accommodates 5 further guests.

The main kitchen/lounge/dining area has vaulted ceilings and an airy feel with ample room for everyone to find a spot, sit back and relax. The lounge has big warm couches and armchairs as well as a TV and DVD player. Loads of books and board games plus children's toys are available to keep everyone entertained on those quieter days. Lovely period pieces add to the feeling of a bygone era. Open the lounge doors to the outdoor verandah, and let the sunshine and sea air in.

The wide front timber verandah, has lots of seating, be it around the outdoor table or one of the cushioned wicker chairs. Sit outside with a good book and a pot of tea and while away the day in perfect tranquility.

The much loved kitchen is of its era, but has all the basic amenities and cooking gear for easy meal time preparation. Sit around grandma's table and indulge in mealtime conversation with your nearest and dearest or maybe a board game late into the night.

Other welcomed amenities located in the main lounge, are a split system, gas heater and ceiling fan.

The property also offers a separate bungalow at the rear of the property with 1 x double + 1 x single bunks + 1 x single bed, so another 5 can sleep here. The bungalow would suit teenagers who want their own space. Bungalow guests can use the small kitchenette and table as well. The bungalow is available for an additional fee but please note, unlike the main house beds, NO linen (sheets and towels) is not provided for bungalow beds (only doonas and pillows are supplied). The cost is $250 per day with 2 night minimum as well. Please ask about this when making your enquiry. Please note the bungalow may be used by other guests during your stay.

Dalmuir has a large grassed back yard and is perfect for kids to run around in, or for a game of cricket. A bonus is the large park across the road with plenty of gas BBQs and a kids playground.

But if lazy days at the beach is your thing, then Dalmuir offers unparalleled Dromana Beach access.

Oh, and a cute and convenient beach box right on Dromana Beach only 3min walk away is equipped with some fun beach toys, chairs and beach umbrella.
It is also available to rent by guests. You can store your own beach gear in there for the duration of your stay. The cost is $100 per day and you need to rent it for the length of your stay in the main house. Please ask about this when making your enquiry.

What you see is what you get, and Dalmuir remains deliberately untouched and is definitely not a cookie cutter property. Yes some wallpaper is peeling, some paint has faded, but this doesn't detract from the gorgeousness of Dalmuir Homestead. It is steeped in family history and generations have enjoyed the pleasure it offers.

Good House Holiday Rentals is also able to offer Peninsula Hot Springs Bath House Tickets. Indulge yourself for 4hrs in the warm and tranquil water of Peninsula Hot Springs. Just ask us when booking.

At Good House Holiday Rentals, we take responsibility for and prioritise guest health and safety and that of the wider community. Guests, and their family and friends, can rest assured, that we will continue to strive to ensure the best holiday property management processes. This includes:
· No one will be at a property within 24 hours of your check-in
· Strict cleaning and sanitising protocols in place
· Linen has been professional laundered at a commercial laundry
· All properties supply the following for guest use: antibacterial hand sanitiser, disposable gloves and wipes, disinfectant and cleaning supplies, hand soap, paper towels, tissues.

Finally, all guests with confirmed bookings, will be emailed the Good House Holiday Rentals Rental Agreement which clearly details conditions of rental of this property. The Agreement covers, Occupancy Condition and Use of the Property, Default, Assignment or Sublease, Risk of Loss and Indemnification, Refundable Damage Deposit - $2000, Excess Cleaning, Damages and Charge, Guest Book, Release Entry and Inspection, Unavailability of Property, Cancellation, Additional Terms to the Rental Agreement and General Provisions.
You will need to read the Agreement in full and reply your acceptance of all the terms.
If you cannot accept the Rental Agreement, you can cancel your booking as per the Airbnb cancellation policy in place which is Strict (Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.)
If you don’t want to accept any Agreement then please do not proceed to book this property.

Beside being sooo close to the Dromana Beach, Dromana Recreation Reserve is right across the road (BBQ, tables and play equipment). Shops including the amazing Dromana IGA and eateries are no more than 200m away and an easy stroll.
