Hi Karen, Thanks for your feedback. Guest feedback allows us to improve and in turn give our future guests a better experience.
We have chosen to do a continental breakfast for our guests as it allows them more flexibility in the time they eat. We have guests leaving as early as 6:00am to catch the early car ferry up till late in the morning while they sleep in on vacation. For this reason a home cooked breakfast served at a specific time does not work for us (we have tried in the past).
We would love to allow our guests to use our commercial kitchen, but unfortunately our insurance and local health unit will not allow it (the same as you would not walk into a restaurants kitchen and start cooking).
The fenced off area in the back yard does not belong to us, it belongs to our care takers area. This includes their own personal hot tub, bbq, deck, and dog run.
Most of our rules are common sense and common decency, but some guests still seem to have a hard time grasping them so we need to put them on paper. We are sincerely sorry if this made you feel unwelcome in any way.
