Sticks and Stones is a beautiful mid-century modern mountain home nestled in the Boone, NC treetops. It was built in 1982 by a Miami architect as his personal family mountain escape. A soothing blend of wood and stone creates relaxing indoor views and numerous outdoor living spaces. The home features three gas burning fireplaces and open living spaces. The home comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests in 3 private sleeping areas.
The large MBR has a new King Size memory foam bed and a lovely window seat perfect for relaxing and catching up on your favorite book or enjoying the views of surrounding tree tops. There is one large bath on the upper level that can be closed off to form a master suite or accessed by all. The two guest bedrooms are located on the lower level with one large shared bath. One of the guest bedrooms has a queen size bed and a set of bunk beds, perfect for a family to share. This bedroom is set up as an efficiency with a combined living area with fireplace and a small kitchenette, however, we ask that all cooking be done upstairs for tidiness, but like for you to know that it is there and does offer a sink and counter space as well as table and chairs for playing games. The second lower guest bedroom has a queen size memory foam bed and two twin beds, also perfect for a family with children to share.
The outdoor spaces are plentiful with two covered porches on the back of the house (one on each level) and one large open side porch on the lower level as well as a large covered porch on the front of the house.
