Outras coisas a ter em conta
COVID-19:
Guests who’ve been diagnosed with Covid 19 should absolutely not book our Airbnb to quarantine themselves. Additionally, if you have symptoms you will not be permitted to stay, and must cancel your plans. We're following the new enhanced cleaning initiative by Airbnb, and taking all necessary precautions to protect our guests, and our community, against Covid-19. Additional time between stays, and additional cleaning time, has changed our check-in times - please take note. Depending on the schedule we may not be able to accommodate early arrivals or late departures. Thank you for understanding.

- The second floor is accessed by a steep outdoor stairway - we need you to acknowledge you are capable of bringing luggage upstairs in your reservation request.
- Parking is on the street, can be busy at dinner time and although parking is usually not an issue, if it happens to be difficult, we recommend double-parking to unload multiple bags, then finding a parking spot. You can keep bags in the locked entry gate while you park. Chester is a small town, so there's never a long walk. At the worst, there are three very nearby public parking lots, in less than a five minute walk.
- On Sundays mid-June though mid-October is one of the best Farmers' Markets in the state. Chester Sunday Market hours are 10am-1pm. Please note: town center and the road directly in front of the apartment is closed to traffic from 9am - 1pm during these months. MOVED to Chester Elementary School for 2020.
- Our village center location means there may be some street noise on weekend nights. We've never had any complaints, but you never know. The bedroom is located in the rear of the building while the living-room is located street side. Noise while sleeping is very unlikely.

"The best small town in Connecticut" (Connecticut Magazine)

"There are many reasons to visit this little slice of heaven in Connecticut. One thing is for sure, once you step into Chester, you will want to stay longer than you had planned." (Only In Your State)

“Solitude when you need it, engagement when you want it. Walden Pond meets Broadway.” (Morley Safer, journalist / past resident)

A bucolic town, pristine and quintessential New England. Pretty much year round this town is a destination place. This truly is one of those towns that makes Connecticut special. (Ann Nyberg's Network Connecticut)

"A compact downtown that’s beautiful, friendly, and cosmopolitan, while hugging close its small-town New England character." (Yankee Magazine)

"a jewel of a town out of a movie set- it reminds me of a quaint village of Provence, theater, galleries and great food". (Jacques Pepin, chef)

"Chester, CT is a cozy little riverside village tucked into the hills near the Connecticut River. Chester, which is a few miles north of Route 95 and Long Island Sound has the feel of a tidy European town." (Travel Guide of America)

"The tiny Artist Colony of Chester, CT. Contemporary artist Sol LeWitt, whose work can be found in most world-class modern art museums made his home here, and many others have followed. It’s the perfect place to pick up handcrafted jewelry, art, clothing, and crafts directly from the artist." (Getaway Mavens)

In 1769, Jonathan Warner was granted permission to operate a ferry across the Connecticut River that became the Chester-Hadlyme Ferry, the second-oldest continuously operating ferry service in Connecticut. Its location is currently a state historical landmark and crosses from Chester to Hadlyme, nearby Gillette Castle, a popular tourist destination with expansive views of the Connecticut River.

The 1959 film "It Happened to Jane", starring Doris Day and Jack Lemmon, was filmed in Chester. Portions of the 1971 horror film "Let's Scare Jessica to Death" were filmed in Chester, including the Chester–Hadlyme Ferry. In 2006, the Chicago Film Critics Association pronounced "Let's Scare Jessica to Death" the 87th scariest film ever made.

I was lucky enough to grow up in this beautiful area of New England, the Connecticut River Valley & Shoreline. After going to local schools, I went onto RISD and studied Printmaking. I made my way home and opened an art gallery and boutique, had two adorable children and adopted dogs, cats and fish - all while continuing to make my own prints and support the artists I believe in. I have a great group of friends with whom I work and a wonderful, supportive family. I've managed to surround myself with good people who accept my crazy ideas. I'm a lucky girl.
