O espaço
No strangers to the hospitality business, your host Jane and her sister, Laura – ensure there’s a relaxed, inviting feel to Eithinog Hall. You can enjoy home-cooked food and appreciate their eye for creative design at this boutique-style B&B. The woodland surroundings, and the occasional passing steam trains of the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway give the place a special atmosphere.

The "Sequoia" ensuite room is named after the towering tree which marks the entrance to Eithinog Hall. With double aspect views through its Georgian sash windows, this spacious room, with super-king bed, looks out over the kitchen garden, pond and woodlands. Yellow, blue and white accents bring calm and warmth to the room, while the eye-catching en suite bathroom is contemporary and luxurious, with its free-standing bath and lime green-walled rainfall shower.

All our rooms have bathrobes, slippers, luxury toiletries and high-quality bed linens.

The location is pretty unbeatable too, with the south of Snowdonia National Park just 45 minutes west and the Shropshire Hills a similar distance to the east. The stately home and gardens of Powis Castle are less than 10 miles away just outside Welshpool, while nearby Glansevern Gardens extend to 25 acres on the banks of the River Severn.

Enjoy the great outdoors all year round at Eithinog. Our 15-acre grounds are comprised of private woodland and a two-mile stretch of the River Banwy, perfect for cycling, walking, fishing and more. In Spring, our ancient woodland bursts into life with a breath-taking display of birdsong, bluebells and wild wood anemones. Wild garlic and blackberries follow shortly after.

But whether it’s Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, there’s always a bounty of flora and fauna to be discovered. A veritable haven of wildlife, local residents include: Owls, woodpeckers, red kites, buzzards, herons, kingfishers, dippers and otters – to name a few!

Offering 12 months of fine game fishing, the river is a fly-fisher’s paradise. With a mixture of deep pools and fast, challenging runs, it holds a good head of wild brown trout, the occasional late-run salmon, as well as grayling – the lady of the stream.
