Dear Vladimir, thank you so much for your review! :-)
I'm glad to hear that the "Casita" was helpful and I hope you'll have a great time in Peru!
About what you mention regarding the place (Santa Rosa), I wanted to say, to reassure you and anyone thinking about staying here that I have been staying in the flat with my husband and my 2 young children for 9 years now (each time we stay for around 2 months) and in our experience, we haven't had any issues with security, the children very often play outside with other neighbourhood children (also when it's dark!) and we go out for little walks or dinner at night. I should probably mention that we come from a small and very quiet town in Switzerland so it's a big contrast to the craziness of a city like Lima and we were also a little worried at the beginning but with time we met the lovely people around and got to know the place and now we are totally relaxed.
That said, I agree with you that in general, no matter where you stay in Lima, it is recommended to be careful with your belongings and stay alert as tourists, as it usually happens in many big cities, are usually a main target for thieves.
I hope this little comment was useful and I hope you visit us again some time soon!
