One of the oldest unspoilt traditional thatched cottages on the rental market in the whole of Ireland. Staying here is like stepping back in time with a little modern twist. A real romantic get away from it all, cosy little cottage.
The cottage is very comfortable and cosy. Very quirky, having two stair cases, half doors front and back, two lofted bedrooms, and a 250 year old cast iron Victorian Range in the Kitchen area which is fully functional. Fire her up and she will not only heat the cottage but you can cook on her as well. Other forms of heating comes in the form of an Everhot range (like a mini Aga) which is used for cooking as well and in the sitting area there is a Optimyst woodburner effect fire place for instant heat! Although the cottage is old to say the least it has all modern facilities such as firdge and freezer, flat screen tv, waching machine, microwave, kettle and toaster, toilet and shower. Guests can make use of the PAY AS YOU GO WI FI dongle. Please contact me on (EMAIL HIDDEN) if you wish to use wi fi and I will set it up for you.

As I live in England I personally will not be on hand to meet and greet, however the key to the cottage will be left with good friends of mine who live in the village who will be there to help with your stay.
Outras coisas a ter em conta
As the cottage is 350 years old there are a few little designs ie the loft bedrooms which I do not think are suitable for children under the age of 6 years. The cottage is very open plan and quirky in design!
This is a lovely quiet little village in the middle of the Laois country side. I expect guests to respect the locals and the cottage alike.

John, my partner and I run Moss Side farm. We both love where we live, and enjoy the country way of life. We go to our local pub, the Blacksmiths Arms in Broughton Mills for a drink and or a meal and to catch up with friends. We have a second home in Southern Ireland where we try to go for a visit about every 3 months. Travelling isnt easy having all the farm animals to care for but we go when we can. A smile costs nothing, give them away!
