Spacious Georgian house minutes from Masham's market square. Sleeping 9 over three floors, the house has bags of period character and charm - from Georgian window seats through to roaring log fires. Each room has been tastefully redecorated this year
Post Office house is a beautiful base from which to explore Masham and the Dales.
The house is Georgian in origin and was rescued from disrepair by the current owners, each room has been remodelled and restored.
The house is grade two listed and has the benefit of being in Masham with all of its amenities and yet is located just outside the square- with direct access to the river, cricket pitch and children's park across the road. The house lends itself to large parties and families.

We will get you settled in- show you how to work technical things i.e television etc. and make sure you have everything you need - once that is done - the house is yours to enjoy! We are always available by phone should you need something.
I love Masham- there is so much to do!
Firstly - as a place from which to see the Dales - its second to none . You have a wide range of pubs, restaurants and cafes all of which are very child friendly. There is a wide selection of shops and usually different exhibits happening in the town hall. Swinton Park country house, spa and restaurant is a must! The spa is fabulous and afternoon tea in the drawing room is a great experience. The restaurant has won many awards and they do a great priced Sunday lunch. Swinton park is a 2 minute drive or a pleasant 10 minute walk from the house. Horse riding and falconry experiences are also available. Artison is a two minute drive or short walk from the house - they offer short day courses in crafts such as pottery, jewellery making, blacksmithing - I've done a few and its great fun.
Aside from the charms of being in Masham - you are in the heart of the Yorkshire dales - there are so many wonderful things to see from Bolton castle, Jervaux Abbey, Aysgarth Falls... though to a ride on the North York moors Steam railway.... you might struggle to fit it all in!
We are really happy to recommend places and have written a guidebook that you will find alongside your guest information.
There are lots of attractions within walking distance of the house- there is also a regular bus service that leaves from the market square.
We love our house - and we hope you do too!
Please treat it as you would your own home.
I work in mental health in the North east and love being at home in Masham. I have four horses, a collection of chickens, a dog and a cat. Im married to Pete and we both enjoy being outside in the Dales.
