Get away with friends and family any time of the year on one of the clearest lakes in Muskoka. This newly renovated cottage is the perfect oasis away from the city and has it all.

Featuring 5 bedrooms, sleeps 14 comfortably, and an open concept space.

Explore waterfalls, go kayaking, have dinner outside with the family, and enjoy the fire-pit in the evening.

We welcome you to our family cottage nicknamed "The Hatch", situated in a quiet area of Muskoka with waterfalls and trails nearby.

O espaço
The Hatch is located on High Lake, which is a feeder lake into Skeleton Lake, the clearest lake in Ontario.

Facing southwest, you will bask in the sun all day long and never lose sunlight. Not to mention the beautiful sunset.

The cottage is also winterized and heating is available, so it can
be enjoyed year round. Skating or snowmobiling on the lake is allowed in the winter, just shoot me a message to confirm ice conditions.

The interior is newly renovated and very cozy, yet built to be enjoyed by up to 14 people. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry, 2 bathrooms, and living room with tons of brand new board games.

There are 2 master bedrooms with a full glass wall and view of the lake, so two families can enjoy at the same time.

Master bedrooms also have sliding doors with direct access to the balcony. There are 3 additional bedrooms and a pullout couch.

The exterior has a brand new composite balcony with a propane barbecue, suntanning chairs, outdoor sofas, and a large dining table for 10.

Down the stairs to the water you can utilize another tanning area, a fire pit with Muskoka chairs, and the dock with 2 kayaks and a canoe for you to enjoy.

More About Our Lake:

- 100 feet of private lakefront

- Steps down to private dock from back-deck

- Ladder access into water directly from dock

- Small area to wade into the water (smooth rock entrance, not a beach)

- Shallow depth directly beside dock great for kids but gets deep fairly quick (so you can jump off of the end of the dock)

- Lots of trees for privacy and lots of space in between neighbours

More about the property:

- 2 x brand new Kayaks (both single person)

- Canoe and pool floaties.

- Fire pit with Muskoka chairs for relaxing fireside evenings

- Long driveway and large parking area, easy for car access, unloading, and loading up

- Flat surface in the front yard (parking lot area) for kids to play

- Perfect for outdoor dining (BBQ, huge deck and table)

- South facing exposure with plenty of outdoor chairs and loungers.

- All day sun! See the sun-rise and the sun-set.

- Road is paved, great for running, hiking, or biking (all ages).

Around High Lake/Fish Hatchery:

- Paved road (Fish Hatchery Road) leading to the cottage

- Lots of hiking in the area - quick walk down the road to access to Fish Hatchery/Skeleton lake hiking network

- Easy access to snowmobiling trails

- 2 waterfalls in the area (including one directly into the lake)

- Easy access to public boat launches into High Lake/Skeleton Lake (10 min drive to launch into Lake Rosseau which is connected to Lake Muskoka and Joseph)

Localização

The neighbourhood is very quiet, as is the lake. Here is what you can find within a 30 minute drive, walk, or even canoe ride:

2 waterfalls - from High Lake to Skeleton Lake, and Hatchery Falls (on our street). 15-20 minute hike along a reasonably well-marked trail to the waterfall.

Rosseau: Located just 15 minute drive away with lots of charming shops, cafes, and restaurants. We highly recommend a restaurant called "The Crossroads" but you will likely need to make reservations if you plan to go for dinner. They also have a great patio through the day overlooking the lake for some afternoon drinks.

There is also a boat launch here if you plan on bringing a boat.

Port Carling: The true capital of Muskoka is about 20-25min
away. Here you'll find plenty of fantastic shopping: Antiques,
home-decor, arts and crafts, as well as great dining and drinking all overlooking the waterfront. A great place to day trip, rain or shine!

Bracebridge: If you're looking for larger towns, Bracebridge is a
30 minute drive and perfect pit stop en route if you're travelling
from the GTA. It has all of your cottage essentials to stock up
(Walmart, Loblaws, and an LCBO) in addition to a number of other retail stores. If you want to make a day trip out of it, the old downtown is quaint and stocked with lots of muskoka shops, restaurants and antiques.

Huntsville (also about 30 min drive) is another safe choice for a
quick day trip with a very concentrated downtown core with
classic Muskoka shops and food joints.
