Our place is a sanctuary. Recently renovated, this 1940s home sits on a large property in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Dark hardwoods throughout with a nice retro kitchen with wet bar. There is an attached studio looking out to the back patio and its Mexican supper table with controlled lighting. Beyond that is a large back yard perfect for lounging in the hammock or around the firepit on those chilly winter nights. There is a gas heating unit built in and wifi will be available to you as well as permits for plentiful street parking.
Wifi, grill, kitchen, hammock, cookware, toiletries and towels.
We will not be present.
This is an exploding area. Everything you want or need is just around the corner. Lots of culture and delicious foods. Very safe and quiet, a unique part of LA.
There are restaurants, bars, grocers and activities within minutes of every direction. Heading north, you will find private fire-road hikes overlooking the city and the beautiful, old neighborhoods of Brentwood. To the west, within a 15 minute drive or half-hour bike ride you can take a dip in the Pacific and check out either the family-oriented fun of Santa Monica or the free-for-all in Venice. Headed east you can go all the way downtown within 20 minutes or walk to Sawtelle with some of the country's (and certainly the city's) best asian fare on offer. Culver city's movie history is just a 10 minute shot away and the south bay is 20 minutes down the highway headed South.
Street parking is permitted with proper display of permits which will be made available.
