In response to a couple of things in this review. 1) Actually when they arrived the second time it was at the same time as Guatemalan friends. They had already been there and I had showed them their room and surroundings. This is when we visited for some time and I gave the ice cream recommendation. Also, as always, we let our guests choose if they want interaction or not. These guests did not indicate that they wanted to visit in our home that evening, and yes, we did have guests from Guatemala for dinner that evening. All Airbnb guests can assume that they may have us being distracted by other guests since we have a lot of personal guests, beside our Airbnb guests. This has never been an issue before with any other guests however. 2) Yes the room has gabled ceilings as the pictures indicate. Can't help that. 3) Yes, there is no outside window. We cannot help that either. However, since the office is not used at night.. that door can be left open and the office has lots of windows that can be opened for plenty of fresh air especially in September in NH when the weather is not hot. In summer months we have an air conditioner in the office keeping that cool, and now also have one for the airbnb room, but that is mostly not needed. Also, there is also another fan (a white one) that was in the room that the guests could have used. I respond immediately to all texts so these questions could have been asked and answered in that way or by a knock on the door. By the way, our Guatemalan guests went home and the house was totally quiet by 9PM, which is not unreasonable. As far as made to not feel welcome, I am sad they felt that way, because as you can see by the other nearly 100 reviews, no one else has felt that way.... and since most Airbnb guests want privacy, we are always aware of that and don't want to intrude. Anyway, you can see I gave them a good review and still stand by that,,, they caused us no problem while here, which is why I find many of the comments on their review troubling. Except for the sloped ceilings, I could and would have fixed all the other concerns.
