Come be our guest in this charming home in Anchorage's U-Med District. Enjoy a private room in the top floor unit of a duplex, located in a quiet neighborhood. We're centrally located--very accessible by car and close to city trails and bus stops. Great place to come home to during your visit.
The home isn't short on character. Although the guest room is painted a simple white, the rest of the house is decorated in bold, cool colors and features quirky decorations throughout.
A small-but-growing indoor garden helps give the home some extra light and greenspace year-round.
Most the kitchen cabinets are finished with chalkboard paint, so you can doodle or write while cooking and add your own (albeit temporary) touch to the place.
Acesso de hóspedes
Inside, guests have access to a full bathroom (shared with Airbnb guests staying in our other room), living room, kitchen, dining area and sun room.
Outside, guests have shared access to a petite porch with a charcoal grill and a spacious backyard featuring an in-ground fire pit.
Interação com hóspedes
Two other people, Michelle and Chris, live in this home year-round. You'll see us in the shared areas, mostly in the evenings, but the amount of interaction is up to you. Feel free to keep to yourself or join us on the couch for a beer and conversation.
We're generally quiet, keep the space clean, and respect our guests' privacy.
Outras coisas a ter em conta
A cat lives here. His name is Kitten Cat. While he's a nice, quiet cat, he tends to shy away from strangers. You might see him roaming through the living room while you're here, but he spends most of his time outside or hiding out in one of the bedrooms.
We're also both familiar with Anchorage and Alaska, and more than willing to offer tips and suggestions on things to do and places to see.
Depending on when you stay, we may also have a bike or two to loan out. Ask for more details if you're interested.
Basic common courtesy goes a long way. Be respectful. Be clean.
I've lived in Anchorage for the past five years after zig-zagging through the Lower 48. I moved to Alaska for the winters, but ended up staying for the summers.
I'm a book nerd (classics, nonfiction, sci-fi, cookbooks, instruction manuals... almost anything with words in it). When I don't have my nose in a book, I'm usually out skiing, hiking, camping, et cetera–just enjoying and exploring all the world has to offer.
I'm friendly, open and easy to get along with. Ask me anything.
