If you love nature & your feet in the sand. Hear the waves crash, see the sun rise over the magnificent Caribbean blue sea. Gaze at the constellations & shooting stars from the upper deck. This is where memories are made. Your pets are welcome.

Wake to the birds chirping happily and sleep to the enchanting sound of the sea. A Spacious Master BD & Bath/2nd BD & 3/4 bath. Grand Room with sofa bed/Full Kitchen, Dishwasher, Laundry Room. 2 Patios/2 Upper Decks.

Full access to the other patios surrounding the house. A lot of room for gatherings and BBQ's and we have plenty of amenities.... Ice chests, snorkel eq, ask us. We want you to feel like we are old friends

Owner is a professional musician and entertains the tourists on the island. We go to clubs and hotels nightly and can suggest places of entertainment or bring you along. Owner lives next door so advice and assistance is at hand. You set the pace. We love the interaction but if it's a peaceful and private retreat you are seeking, we respect your privacy.

Quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. Seldom used streets allow for biking, jogging and walking and enjoying nature. We are walking distance to Baby Beach, Seroe Colorado and the sea cliffs which are seldom known about but are one of the most beautiful sights on the island.

A rental car is almost a must on this island unless you are planning on a staycation. My friend that visits 3 times a year uses Econo, last I checked Budget had vehicles at $30 a day. Another popular car company Rent4Less rents Jeeps, they are across the highway from the airport. I have discount information for Budget. Public transit and private buses are available, take the Arubus from airport to San Nicolas Main Street station, transfer to Arubus mini-bus to Baby Beach. Baby Beach is about a 12 min walk.

*We have hot water. Sounds silly but most homes on the island do not. *Internet service on this island is interrupted on a regular basis. It can be frustrating, be patient it comes back.
*T-Mobile users You are lucky people, T-Mobile has an agreement with the provider on the island so no need for an International plan. You have automatic service and unlimited free texting and e-mails. Calls are .20 per min to the US. Check T-Mobile for up to date information. Other plans, I suggest adding International for your stay.
*We are happy to pick you up at the airport if needed, please let us know 2 weeks in advance.
*Your DOGS are welcome. They need rabies shots and a bill of health from the vet. Those are Aruba's requirements. Most airlines allow a pet up to 20lb to fly in the cabin and ticket cost is apx $100. Better than boarding!! (no cats please, we love kitties but we have 3 small dogs that are not used to cats ... everyone would be miserable)

*Rule #1... HAVE FUN, IT'S One Happy Island! :D
We want you to be happy and have a great time on your vacation just be mindful of our neighbors.
*Please smoke outdoors on the patio or how about the upper deck while gazing across the sea at Venezuela.
*The cost for electricity is $$$ on the island. We appreciate your cooperation in being mindful of the use of air-conditioning. Please don't leave it running if you are not home. We will enter the home and turn the a/c off if left unattended. We allot 125florin per week for your electricity use, the house is on a pay as you go card. If you exceed that allotment, your security deposit will be deducted the amount we have to add to electricity.
*We do not charge a cleaning fee up front. We do expect our home to be reasonably in order upon your leaving. Please read our departure page in the blue booklet we provide.
*Please make sure the refrigerator is clear, the stove is wiped clean, the microwave is wiped out and the trash is taken out.
*We also ask that you would be kind enough to strip the beds and place all used linens in the laundry room. We will do the rest. Because we don't have a strict check in and check out time our guests frequently overlap. Your help and understanding is greatly appreciated if we ask special favors.
*If the house requires extensive cleaning we will expect reimbursement from the deposit which is typically $60.00 depending upon the required cleaning to be done.

If you want a true Aruban local experience and live relaxing this is your place! Cherie and Lester are the best hosts we have ever experienced! Their place is minutes from Bany Beach and we were able to explore Aruba from a much less tourist aspect. I would recommend the Babay Beach house to anyone and can't wait to come back!!

Cherie's place is exactly what I expected from the description and previous reviews! It was clean, private, and quiet. The rooms get hot, but if you open the doors and let be fans run, it's more comfortable and there is a great A/C In each room to use if really needed. The kitchen was fully stocked as was the beach collection of water shoes, snorkel gear, towels, floaties, coolers, etc. we went to see Lester's band play one night which was incredibly fun! The local dogs are around and are the sweetest and friendliest bunch--they followed us on a run down to bachelors beach! We rented a car that was safe in the neighborhood for our 5-day stay--at no point did we feel unsafe walking around. The area was very quiet and remote. Overall, an excellent place to stay! It was the first trip my parents did staying at an Airbnb and they said they would do it again!

The 2 bedroom apartment was wonderful, we only used the master bedroom. It had a private entrance, large living room with a tv and nice spacious and easy kitchen with a good fridge and freezer. The bathroom was brand new and the shower was fantastic. Lot's of windows and a constant breeze, we didn't need the A/C, but it was available if we did. We really enjoyed exploring the "true" Aruba in the south before we went north. It has great beaches, both with and without waves and the history of the Lagos Community (find it on a page) is really interesting. Local supermarkets were less expensive to buy food and liquor before going to the hotel zone. Cherie helps with restaurant and nightclub suggestions. We were really glad we got to spend 2 nights there.

My husband and I just recently spent 4 nights at Lester and Cherie's place and I wish we could have stayed longer. We were going to Aruba for a dual purpose, one for my friends wedding in Palm beach and two for a delayed honeymoon. We knew we did not want to be staying in the high rise area the whole time and wanted something away from all the tourists which is exactly what we got by staying at Baby beach at Lester and Cherie's. They were minutes away from the beach and some other cool sites and local restaurants! We rented a car and recommend others do the same thing if you want to go elsewhere on the island. It takes about an hour from one side of the island to the other. Like others have said you could have as little or as much interaction with Lester and Cherie, they are really great hosts with a lot of good recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Cherie and Lester are very accommodating, if you need something just ask! The apartment was way better than what we were expecting and had everything we needed and more for our stay. They have a fully equipped kitchen, linens for the bedrooms , breakfast stools, chairs and a couch in the main room, two bathrooms with toiletries, a patio with outdoor shower and an upper deck to hang out on a watch the stars. They also have a beach supply cabinet outside with things like snorkel equipment, beach mats, beach towels, chairs, coolers, a canopy, use during your stay. They have the sweetest dogs that will become your new best friends and if you are lucky the donkeys will come around and you can feed them right out of your hand. Lester is also in a local band Joyride and they are really good! We went and saw them a couple of times during our stay in Aruba and it was a great time each time! I can't say enough good things about staying at Lester and Cherie's. I will recommend anyone I know going to Aruba to stay at their place, there will be no regrets other than not staying there longer!

Cherie and Lester were amazing hosts! They had great local info that made our trip amazing with a local feel which is exactly what we were looking for. The place is located in a secluded area away from the touristy areas which is exactly what we wanted. It's well equipped with everything you need and the beach cabinet was very handy! We used the coolers, chairs and snorkel gear every day! Baby Beach is within walking distance or a short drive away and was amazing. Cherie and Lester gave us space when we wanted it, but were always there to give us advice on where to go or what to do and were very welcoming. They took us out for a night with their friends to see Lester and his band play at a local bar which was great fun! You won't be disappointed if you stay at Cherie's!!

If you want to experience the real Aruba this is the place to do it. The accommodations are exactly what they are advertised to be. Cherie and Lester will make you feel like family and be as involved as you want. This side of Aruba is so often missed and is truly a unique gem. The house comes with everything you might need and if something is overlooked or there is a question your hosts are right there to help. One suggestion...bring your own sunscreen, it is quite expensive here and something you cannot go without. Plan a trip to the grocery store early on so you can relax and enjoy the stay.

Cherie, Lester, and the dogs are great hosts. They made me feel like I was a friend staying in their home. The location was very convenient (7 min.) to Boca Grandi Beach where I kiteboarded 12/14 days. Boca lived up to it's billing as one of the most consistently windy places in the the world.

Cherie: I visit Aruba every 3 months. I love the peace, the sun and the ocean breeze. But as you can imagine being from LA I love the night-life too. So Aruba suits me well, I have the tranquility at Baby Beach and the night-life with Lester. I've traveled to many countries and across the US. For me, I love to experience the local things. That's just me, I love to feel at home wherever I travel and with whomever I meet. And with that in mind, it's how we view hosting guests. It's the local warmth and caring, the feel... we want everyone who visits us to have the same experience.

Lester: I was born in Curacao, lived in Holland for 13 years and moved to Aruba 15 years ago. I'm a native DWI islander. My profession was a baker and my hobby a musician but life has twists and turns and now my hobby is my profession. I am a professional drummer in a local Aruba band "Joyride Band". I hope you can join us at one of our venues for the Happy Island experience, sing and dance and enjoy the music.
