We spent four wonderful days in this house--not the basic Ikea-furnished faceless place, but a real country house that feels like visiting somebody's lovely grandparents' home. And even better than the house was the garden--the size of a park, and filled with beautiful old trees and unexpected corners; our three children spent many happy hours playing hide-and-seek and climbing trees. We were there in November, so too late for swimming in the pool or using the in-ground hot tub, but those must be delightful as well. There's not much going on in the village itself--though the Parmesan cheese manufactory is worth a visit, very friendly, gave us a small tour--but the location is a good base for visiting the local towns and going up into the mountains. We left loaded down by the motherly caretaker with a bushel of persimmons from the magnificent tree before the house. Recommended!
