My home is also my workshop, (I paint) and I have designed the staircase and the renovations. The ground floor is devoted to the living area with a 60 sq metre open plan lounge with open fire place. All the original features have been retained (tiled floor, oak beams etc.) The kitchen diner has a traditional Edward de Pomiane oven. There is a dining area large enough for the chef to keep his or her guests entertained while cooking. (No other guest in the house during your period of reservation)
There will have three bedrooms two bathrooms (a shower and a bath). Outbuildings are fine for storing bicycles.
The house is furnished with heirlooms and locally sourced antique furniture. All the art work in the house is original, either done by me or friends or family.
Live like a French family and taste French refinement at its best. Chambord castle lies in the Loire Valley, a Unesco world heritage site. This property is the ideal starting point for discovering Loire Valley wineries and fine dining in the vicinity. Enjoy a variety of farmers' markets in Blois, Mer, Amboise and Chambord overflowing with locally-grown produce. The Loire river is only minutes away and has inspired generations of artists - including me!
Saint Dyé sur Loire is the starting point for the ‘Loire à Vélo” a French government initiative aimed at promoting cycling along the Loire. You can cycle all the way to Nantes. Other pursuits I recommend are fishing, canoeing and kayaking on the Loire. Cheverny castle famous for Tintin is twenty minutes away by car. There is an 18-hole golf there too. If you like searching for antiques, then there are plenty of shops for you to find what you've been dreaming of.
The nearest train station is Mer, eight minutes away. Paris (Versailles and EuroDisney) is one and a half hour's away by train. Paris-Orly airport is 180 km away. The TGV high speed train network (Eurostar to London and Thalys to Brussels) runs to St Pierre des Corps station in Tours with easy connections to Blois.
THE HOUSE RESPECTS THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE SURVIVAL OF OURS(OUR) PLANET.

I am passionate about food and have taught French cooking. love living on the banks of the Loire so close to nature. My family has lived in this area for generations, particularly in St Dyé, which is a river port on the Loire river, the closest to Chambord castle the jewel of French Renaissance architecture.
