Enjoy this cozy bedroom in a Civil War-era farmhouse on 2+ acres one mile from Princeton University campus and downtown Princeton. Feel at home with our extra comfy beds, fully-equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, large garden, bikes and nature trails.

O Espaço

Your bedroom includes a full size XL bed, a dresser, desk, and closet. Bathroom is just across the hall. Sheets, towels, toiletries and a bathrobe are available for your convenience and comfort.

Our house is situated on two and a quarter acres of sprawling lawn and 100+ year-old sugar maples, oaks, and pines. The house currently looks more 1950s than 1860s, but we hope in time to restore and reveal the house’s old bones. We are also currently working to replace some of the traditional, suburban landscaping with an organic fruit, vegetable, and flower garden). We keep chickens. Our property adjoins a nature preserve (great for trail running and walking).

Acesso de hóspedes

You'll share with us a kitchen, dining room, living room, deck, and sprawling backyard.

We've got a fully stocked self-serve breakfast & snack bar available throughout the day (cereals, fruit, yogurt, jam, tea, coffee, fresh eggs, sausage with many gluten-free/vegan/paleo options) and a kitchen with plenty of space for your groceries.

Cable TV + Netflix / Amazon Prime. High-speed Wifi both indoors and throughout most of the property. Board games. Lawn games. Chickens, flower garden, vegetable garden, young fruit trees & berries.

Ample parking. A limited number of bikes with helmets and locks are available for your use. Washer and dryer are in the basement.

Interação com hóspedes

We're a busy academic couple who enjoy opening our home to visitors from around the world. We rent several rooms, which means the house is always a little busy. Sometimes, we eat meals with our guests or share a bottle of wine. There have been nights when the whole house has come together in fun and merriment around an open fire and guests leave life-long friends. At other times, we are scarce – traveling or hunkering down for a deadline or Jen may be experiencing a flare of her illness, in which case we appreciate your self-sufficiency. Sometimes our house is gorgeous and perfect. Sometimes, it's a little cluttered, the sheets are rumpled, and we run out of milk. In other words, it's a home. Every day is different, every stay is different. If you are looking for a professional hotel or bed and breakfast experience, this is probably not the right place for you. But if you'd like to stay in a pretty spot not too far from town and campus, close to nature, and with the possibility of being delighted, we look forward to hosting you!

I have spent 5 days during a workshop in IAS. Very good alternative hotels at a reasonable price. Needn't go to grocery - variety of food for breakfast is provided. Nice sitting room and deck. Highly recommend!!!

I did not get to meet the host, but I enjoyed my stay nonetheless. The house is really beautiful and fully equipped with amenities. The bathroom is clean, and my room was cozy and comfortable.

The farmhouse and yard are beautiful, a very pleasant place to stay. There is a great park close by for hiking or running, and it was easy to get into town with the provided bikes. The hosts were very helpful and responsive to any questions. The house and common areas are very spacious, so even when the house is full with guests it doesn't feel crowded and there is plenty of space in the kitchen, dining room, etc.

My hosts were out during my stay, but nonetheless very attentive and aware of anything I might need to make my stay comfortable. The place is beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere laid back and peaceful; there is a deck in the backyard, perfect for reading, and they also have bikes available, which was very convenient for me.

This is a lovely farm house wth so much charm and space and light. The public areas - specifically the living room, kitchen, and dining room - were beautifully and casually decorated, very warm and inviting, and just made my stay there feel that much more relaxed and comfortable. Omar and Jennifer provide all kinds of teas, and breads and jams etc for breakfast, and even farm fresh eggs. They were very responsive and welcoming hosts. This would be a GREAT house to rent in it's entirety for a graduation weekend or some other family event in the Princeton area.

I've recently moved to Princeton with my husband who is a professor. I'm an academic turned documentary filmmaker and sometimes homesteader. This year we've harvested from our property: wild greens, berries, all sorts of vegetables, chestnuts (the most amazing you've ever tas…
