To clarify, I did not CANCEL this booking. I DECLINED it due to the fact that I already had an enquiry which I was awaiting a response, for the same period and Airbnb assured me that when an instant booking is included by the host, the host is able to decline at any stage without penalty or repercussions. I was not actually given this option when I had to decine Suzanne's booking (the first one I've ever had to decline). It only gave me a cancellation option. I will now delete the instant book option so that future guests are not misled as I feel I have been by Airbnb's Instant Book option.
