This spacious railroad apartment, full of wood and warmth, combed to domestic perfection, seeks your temporary companionship. Relax in the hammock overlooing our container garden, or in the light-filled sitting room after practicing yoga (or similar) in our Studio-for-2. Return from the farmer's market through our private entrance and cook up a storm in our well-equipped vegetarian (and vegan/kosher-friendly!) kitchen. Finally, bed down with space to spare nestling around the queen-size bed – well-heated and ventilated by the season!
Outside is a major through-street with a bike lane, subway line, and caribbean and chassidic local spots. A short walk or hop takes you to the major Brooklyn attractions surrounding Grand Army Plaza. 45 minutes to Midtown Manhattan.
We generally offer our apartment when we're going out of town and, schedules permitting, we'll give you our best scoop on Brooklyn before departing. For high-occupancy, the studio has curtains to seclude a 2nd bedroom perfect for our fold-down futon. We also hope you'll help keep our plants and garden healthy and hydrated!
(For shorter stays on the futon in the shared living room or private studio space, please see that listing at: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/908423 )
We're interested in hosting guests looking to share in our particular brand of comfort: a quiet home, a peaceful place, healthy living, and a domestic structure that makes your day-to-day a true pleasure to contemplate and experience. We've both traveled ourselves and speak other languages, so hospitality is a well-loved tradition for us.
Please expect to spend some of yourselves with us in return, enjoy sharing our space, communicate openly and mindfully, and take the opportunity to see Brooklyn from inside our lives and home.
Driving? There is always ample street parking just outside the house. Which is partly because of NYC alternate side parking 6 mornings per week.
