We're sorry there was some disappointment with your stay. We're quite transparent with all of our guests about the HST and STA Fee along with the optional linens and propane services. This is all indicated in our listings. Our guests are also informed of our K-Cup coffee program via email prior to their stay and there is a display on the counter top. We have a regular coffee maker for anyone who would like to have drip coffee instead.
The noise sensors are set in place for your own protection. There are strict noise by-laws in Blue Mountains. These sensors only provide a warning if the noise level is too high. We then have the opportunity to contact the guest about the noise level in order to avoid any unfortunate incidents with By-law officers who will issue a $615 ticket for violating the Town of Blue Mountains noise bylaw. We want our guests to have a great time. These are large luxury chalets that accommodate up to 20 people so we completely understand how noise levels can rise. We just do our best to remind you if they become too high.
Our on-site manger had informed your group of the sensors and asked that you and your group be mindful of your noise level given the occasion. The occasion for your stay was indeed a Bachlorette party as indicated in your communication to us. Our security informs our guests of their noise levels and reminds them to keep the noise level down when they find it's above a respectable level.
Not all of the neighbouring chalets are under our ownership and there is local security in order to help keep noise levels down for those properties.
Blue Mountain is a beautiful setting and in the country, so allergies can react. Our chalets are cleaned and inspected before and after all stays. With high ceilings (even with regular cleaning) some dust can settle. If there was ever a cleanliness issue, we would have hope you would have informed us and we would have accommodated your stay to suit your needs better. Our on-site manager also visited your chalet twice and there was nothing said about the cleanliness of the chalet.
