We stayed over Christmas. Mary was very amenable to our requests before our stay & answered all my queries, eg regarding accessibility for my elderly father, availability of children's ready beds & travel cot, flexibility for check in & check out, Christmas decorations. She also showed us round a few weeks in advance, when we were in the area.
We were made to feel very welcome - there was even wine & beer in the fridge when we arrived and plenty of coffee, tea & sugar. Entry instructions were clear.
The cottage met our expectations - it is extremely roomy, very comfortable & well-equipped. For most of the time we were 5 adults, including a 92year old, and 2 children. There were 12 for Christmas dinner and we were able to move the kitchen table into the dining area so that we could all sit together.
Dishwasher & washing machine tablets were provided, there were also ample cleaning materials, cling film etc. And plenty of crockery. There was a lovely Christmas tree in the hallway & a few other decorations around the cottage.
We arranged a supermarket delivery on arrival, but there is a good Co-op very near, which was only closed on Christmas Day.
Mary was away herself over Christmas, so we had no direct contact during our stay, though we did communicate by text message & received a fairly quick reply.
I would recommend this cottage for a comfortable "home from home" stay.
