“Situated inside the Sanskar Kendra designed by Le Corbusier , this is an ode to Ahmedabad's love affair with kites. Kite enthusiasts can appreciate the delicate pare kites, with intricate applique and mirror work, while reading about the history of kite flying. Most kites here are courtesy of Bhanu Shah's personal collection. The film archive next door with it's retro movie posters and the city museum on the first floor of the same building are a happy bonus, even though the dilapidated state of the Sanskar Kendra is some what of a downer. ”

“Set inside Vishala Restaurant , this 36 years old museum is said to contain over 4000 old brass, copper and iron vessels from all over India. Goglets or surabhi from Uzbekistan, a blackened 1000 year old cauldron, giant iron locks, brass glasses that folds into each other like Russian dolls, are some of the more fascinating pieces in owner Surendra Patels passion project indulging on traditional Thali to bring fitting finale to the experience is a must for many visitors. ”
