“Live Museum reliving the everything about the early settlers. If one comes during Christmas, or Easter, it almost feels like we have gone back in time. There is also a beautiful playground by the side for the younger ones to burn some energy while the adults take a seat and have a picnic. There is also an indoor pool with an outdoor splash facility adjacent to this Village. It is called the Lloyd Ellesmore Centre.”

“A must-visit for lovers of history, architecture and gardens, this rambling Gothic mansion is the legacy of early colonial Alfred Buckland.Situated on a rise that originally overlooked the expanding township of Newmarket Highwic was built in 1862 as Buckland’s family home.Gothic architecture is hallmarked by light, airy rooms, although later extensions lend other interesting period features. The mansion’s numerous rooms include a kitchen with a coal range – the heart of the house, even today – as well as the ballroom and boy's dormitory all of which prove popular with modern-day visitors. There are Stables, a billiard house, a fern house, and much more, also a meandering 'Lover's Lane". ”
