Sauk Mountain Cottage is tucked just off Highway 20 on four park-like acres. Fronted by a charming covered porch, the cottage has a queen-size bed, full kitchen, and bathroom. It's the perfect place to spend one night as you're passing through the Skagit Valley or to use as your base camp for several days while you explore the mountains and the river in this gorgeous area.
The cottage is perched on a little rise across the driveway from our main house, with a backdrop of big, old evergreen trees and Sauk Mountain, visible from the back porch on a clear day. The covered front porch, screened by colorful dahlias in summer, has two lawn chairs situated with a view all the way out to green foothills that often see snow in the winter. It's the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, whether on a warm summer morning or a crisp fall one. Inside the cottage, a small table and two chairs sit next to a big window looking out on the porch and garden. The mantle is stocked with books, from regional guidebooks to outdoor adventure memoirs to murder mysteries. Made of locally reclaimed wood, the queen-sized bed has an organic latex mattress and comfy sheets, plus a quilt and fleecy throw blanket. Before you call it a night, be sure to step out onto the back porch and look up, on a clear night, to see countless stars. In the kitchen, you'll find a full fridge, propane stove, microwave (which is also a convection oven), sink, toaster, coffee maker and French press, and basic cooking utensils. We stock cooking basics like salt and pepper, olive oil, and ground coffee. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, Honest Company shampoo, pedestal sink, and toilet--we supply bath towels, hand towels, and a bath mat.
The cottage is located in a rural neighborhood just four miles east of Concrete, where you can find a grocery store, gluten-free bakery, and a few restaurants (pizza, Korean, and barbecue). There is a boat launch less than a mile east of the cottage as well as easy access to miles of trails at Rockport State Park and Howard Miller Steelhead Park. We're close to the access road to popular Sauk Mountain and sixteen miles from North Cascades National Park, where the opportunities for outdoor recreation are endless.

This a 30 ft diameter Farmstead Yurt ( 700 sq ft) on the edge of the forest. There is a wood stove, a sink, electricity (hot plate, kettle, toaster oven, mini fridge) and plenty of room to spread out. There are 3 five gallon water dispensers for your water. The available berths 'bedrooms' separated by sheets are a single bed with a roll out trundle bed for a second guest, a queen bed and a double bed (incl. bedding), and a couch in front of the fire; pack more in with pads on the floor.
The space is rustic and at the edge of the wild. Think 'camping like a Raja' with a wood stove, bed, couch, table, sink, wood stove and solid cedar floors. The space is rustic and has a comfortable, homey feel. A single extension cord provides electricity; we have a toaster, tea kettle, popcorn maker, mini fridge, and a propane cook stove. Basic kitchen gear is in the kitchen space. The outhouse is a hundred feet away. As of right now there is no shower facility, but we have a wonderful safe & private river spot if you need to cool off!
Our nearest residential neighbor is a half mile away, the nearest bar is 3 miles and the nearest groceries and gas is 5 miles. Verizon and T-mobile are the only cell carriers that work here. The Skagit River (one of the great fishing rivers in the world) is just at the end of our driveway (introduction to our secret fishing/swimming hole included). Going the other direction it is uncut wilderness from your back door 60 miles to the Canadian border. Beautiful, 556 sq. ft., 1 bdrm cabin w/ loft located on Hilt Creek w/ a private beach area for lounging next to the water. Located only 20 min. from N. Cascades National Park! In winter, bald eagles & blue heron sit around the creek waiting for salmon. Private parking, gated driveway, BBQ, large bonfire pit, & located 7.5 miles from Sauk River boat launch. It’s important to note: Our beds are FIRM memory foam, & you may not have cell service but we have WiFi! 15 min. from nearest gas/grocery.
There is a ladder leading to a loft that has 2 full beds separated by a privacy curtain, and 1 queen bed downstairs in a bohemian-style bedroom. We have new, firm, memory foam mattresses, and the two in the loft rest on a large rug. Great for kids, but most of our adult guests sleep up there, too! The couch can be used for a guest as well as a blow-up mattress located in the closet downstairs for additional guests. Any coffee, condiments, soap, and extra toiletries are for our guests to use. Please leave them at the cabin after your stay.
Take a beautiful walk next to the river in Howard Miller Steelhead Park in Rockport, just 3 minutes away. Or, find hidden beach spots next to the Sauk River along HWY 530. Great for fishing! With no neighbors directly on either side of the cabin, you have plenty of privacy. The neighbors that do live in the area are kind and mind their own business. There is an empty lot next door with a bus on it, owned by our dear friend - soon to be renovated into an Airbnb!

Skagit Steelhead House is a historic 2 bed, 1 bath apartment that is bright, clean, and spacious with handcrafted rustic touches. At the base of Sauk Mountain and the banks of the Skagit River you have found the perfect launching point for many great adventures. What are you waiting for?
The home dates back to 1920 where it started life as a railroad station supporting the gold and logging booms that put Rockport on the map. In the 1940s it was made into a bar called the Tourist Tavern. In the 1980s ownership changed hands and so did the name, as the home became the Fish Inn. In 2009 the decaying Fish Inn was literally lifted off its foundation, a new basement dug, a new foundation laid, and a new life poured into an amazing piece of history. After years of careful renovation the home is ready to host another century of guests, families, children, fishermen, hikers, rafters, climbers, and outdoor lovers to the slice of heaven that is the Skagit River and the North Cascades. In the renovation as many local crafters and materials were sourced as could be found. Many touches came from the forests and the hands of those that call the North Cascades home every day. - The bench in the entry was milled by a local wood worker in Concrete out of a solid slab of Douglas Fir. - The doors and trim for the bedrooms and bathroom were crafted by a local Rockport man that personally salvaged the old growth Fir logs out of the forest and had them helicoptered to his mill. - The Steelhead carving (that is our homage to the Skagit River) was carved and stained by hand, first with a chainsaw and then with the detail brushes of a fine watercolorist. - The king bed and matching dresser in the river bedroom were handcrafted by small furniture maker in BC out of reclaimed barn wood. - The shelves in the dining room and river bedroom were made from salvaged 2x6 lumber from the original construction. Special attention was always paid to keep as much of the spirit of area in the home as possible while still giving the home and modern and comfortable feel.
Right in your backyard is Howard Miller Steelhead Park on the banks of the Skagit River. The park is a year round draw for outdoor enthusiasts and a renowned fishing spot and one of the main boat launches in the area. The park also boasts two playgrounds and a hiking trail that parallels the river along the old railroad bed high banks. In the front yard you have Sauk Mountain. The first major peak you encounter (coming West to East on Hwy 20) in the North Cascades, it tops out at 5500ft. There is a parking lot and trailhead at the 4400ft level that can be accessed via Sauk Mountain Rd about 1 mile West of the house on the North side of Hwy 20. Climbing the remaining 1100ft vertical gain gives you some truly breathtaking views of the Skagit and Sauk Rivers to the North, Glacier Peak to the East, and (on a clear day) the Olympic Range and San Juan Islands to the West. Heading West on Hwy 20 takes past Concrete and into the former logging town of Sedro Wooley. As you continue West you hit Fidalgo Island, the Straight of Juan de Fuca, and Deception Pass. Heading East on Hwy 20 takes along the bends and curves of the (Federally designated) Wild & Scenic Skagit River past Cascadian Farms, an organic farm with in season berries, produce, and awesome fresh made organic ice cream, into the town of Marblemount. As you travel beyond Marblemount you pass Newhalem and Diablo gaining elevation the entire time as you get deep into the North Cascades and over the North Cascade Pass (only open during warmer months due to large amounts of snow and avalanches) into the western town of Winthrop. Heading South on Hwy 530 takes you along the Sauk River and into the town of Darrington at the gateway to the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

Perfect for Isolating, but PEOPLE SHARING A HOUSE ONLY DUE TO CORONAVIRUS! TINY(!) rustic cabin (NO ELECTRICITY, RUNNING WATER, TV or Wifi!) on organic farm, in a forest by a pond & stream, steps from the Chwk River in the Tamihi Rec Area. Endless 4x4 roads & world class fishing (Steelhead now)! Hike, bring a horse, ATV, kayak or go river rafting! Click on the red "+ More". YOU MUST READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE BOOKING! Check our other ads under #1 or #2. LONG WEEKENDS ARE A MIN. 3 NIGHT STAY!
"The Rodfathers" Due to the Coronavirus, we ask that you cover the beds with your own sheets & bring a spray disinfectant for using the outhouse! There are 3 cabins. This cabin is the middle one & you, & can park right behind it (Cabin 1 is right next to it). Again, LONG WEEKENDS ARE A MIN. 3 NIGHT STAY!! YOU MUST READ THE WHOLE AD CAREFULLY & AGREE TO ALL RULES BEFORE BOOKING! These are sleeping cabins ***DESIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE FISHERMEN & HUNTERS!!! VERY BASIC back to nature! (Think wooden tent with (only) a wood stove, futon, a small table, 2 or 3 chairs & beds only!) No pots, pans, dish ware, utensils or bedding. Although it will sleep 6, it is very crowded with that many! The furniture is not meant to be featured in Better Homes & Gardens! There is damage & stains on tables & on the linoleum etc, but the beds & futons are clean! Because these are not pristine, we don't have a problem with people bringing their (well-mannered) pets (that don't go on the furniture). They are swept & wiped down after each guest leaves, but these are NOT like sterile city motel rooms! You might even see dust bunnies! They are NOT SUITABLE FOR WHINERS or most Yuppies! There is ONE (not his n hers!) traditional outhouse (that smells like one!) Mice & other rodents & insects live outside, & they may occasionally poop on the deck & there may be cobwebs out there as well. It is swept off regularly, but they return at night! When people leave the door open, mice can get in & we can't prevent that (although we have very little problem with them)! Please DO NOT BOOK if these things are upsetting to you!!! If you are looking for something more like a hotel room, we have a couple large ensuite bedrooms in our home also listed on Airbnb, which may be more suitable! The cabins have a wood stove for heat, (you supply wood) and an outhouse toilet nearby. ***If you are one of those people who think it's ok to do your business in the bush & leave your toilet paper etc - DON'T COME HERE! It's so disgusting having to pick that up & we will levy a $50. charge if we have to do that! (We have night vision game cameras installed down there). Portable toilets are sometimes available for rent to put in the cabin if you prefer, (but must be cleaned out before returning them). We can also supply an outdoor solar shower in summer that you can fill from the river or waterfall, (there is a deposit), just pop up to our house & get it). There is NO RUNNING WATER! (no, not even in the outhouse!) NO INTERNET! NO TV! NO ELECTRICITY!! Fido/Rodgers network works here (mostly outside). You supply your own sleeping bags, cooking supplies, toilet paper, firewood & lantern(s), firewood is available here (just up the hill at our house). (We may have some camping supplies available for rent also if needed). These are suitable for someone that wants to de-stress & get back to nature. We have portable 4' fencing panels to make an enclosure for those that would like to bring their horses (extra charge would apply). QUIET, well mannered pets that DON'T GO ON THE FURNITURE are possible (but must be leashed if around the farm animals) The large pond is not for swimming (the bottom is quite muddy), but people sometimes swim in the (COLD!) river (about a 5 minute walk) to our beach in the summer & fall! The Trans Canada Trail runs along two sides of our property and one way goes up to Windy Knob, a 5 1/2 hour hike which offers great views of the surrounding mountains as well as the city, or you can continue there & add another couple of peaks for a full day hike. Please email me if you wish the info on the hikes. As mentioned above, these cabins are designed for fishermen & hunters, they are not for people worried about outhouse smells, occasional mice etc. We expect you to leave your honest review, however, if you have ignored what we have put on our ad, don't complain about it after! I understand if you feel they don't have enough value or are otherwise not suitable for you, however I would expect that you not want to return if you feel that way! Saturdays are the most expensive due to heavy demand, if you wish to save money, try a different day, Fridays are a bit less & during the week (non-holidays), is cheap!
We are situated in the Tamihi Recreational area on the Chilliwack River with 2 excellent fishing spots, (1 is off our beach), unlimited mountain trails & logging roads for horses, 4 x 4s, mountain bikers/hikers, & fantastic area for white water kayaking! 3 sides are heavily forested, with the Chilliwack River on the 4th side & we are at the base of Church Mountain (1714 m) There a little waterfall nearby, & is very peaceful & serene. Now for the bad! As we are deep in the forest, you have to go 2.8 kms down a forest service road (quite flat & easily accessible by car) which sometimes (especially during the winter & spring) can have potholes! To get to the beach, go over the little footbridge & turn right & go until you see the field, go to the far end of the covered picnic area & the stairs to the beach are there. We live on the property (a few minutes up the mountain) & are available most of the time, especially by phone, email or text msg! If you can't reach us, just come up the road to the main house. We are more than happy to answer questions & help you with directions & advice on what to see!

3 NIGHT STA
"Fish & Chicks" Due to the Coronavirus, we ask that you cover the beds with your own sheets & bring a spray disinfectant for using the outhouse! There are 3 cabins, located on our organic farm, deep in the forest 25 minutes south of the freeway. This cabin is the farthest one away from the parking area (about 50'?) & the other cabins & is facing a different direction so is the most private location & often a favourite. Again, LONG WEEKENDS ARE A MIN. 3 NIGHT STAY! Although it will sleep 7, it is very crowded with that many! The furniture is not meant to be featured in Better Homes & Gardens! There is damage & stains on tables, but the beds & futons are clean! Because these are not pristine, we don't have a problem with people bringing their (well-mannered) pets (that don't go on the furniture). They are swept & wiped down after each guest leaves, but these are NOT like sterile city motel rooms! You might even see dust bunnies! ***These are NOT SUITABLE FOR WHINERS or most Yuppies! There is ONE (not his n hers!) traditional outhouse (that smells like one!) (Hunters & Fishermen usually have no problem with this!) Mice & other rodents & insects live outside, & they may occasionally poop on the deck & there may be cobwebs out there as well. It's so disgusting having to pick that up & we will levy a $25. charge to clean that up! (There are night vision game cameras installed). Portable toilets are sometimes available to rent (with a deposit to ensure you clean it before returning it) to put in the cabin if you prefer. We can also supply an outdoor solar shower in summer that you can fill from the river or waterfall, (deposit required) just pop up to our house & get it. These are suitable for people that are used to this that wants to de-stress & get back to nature. We have portable 4' fencing panels to make an enclosure for those that would like to bring their horses (extra charge would apply). QUIET, well mannered pets that DON'T GO ON THE FURNITURE are possible (but must be leashed if around the farm animals) The large pond is not for swimming (the bottom is quite muddy), but people sometimes swim in the (COLD!) river (about 2 or 3 minute walk) off our beach in the late summer & fall! The Trans Canada Trail runs along two sides of our property and one way goes up to Windy Knob, a 5 1/2 hour hike which offers great views of the surrounding mountains as well as the city, or you can continue there & add another couple of peaks for a full day hike. You are welcome to email me if you wish info on hikes &/or scenic drives. Any RV's on the property are $25. per night & tents are $20.
Definitivamente ficaremos novamente!

Our log home was built to replicate historical buildings in BC with a roof line borrowed from Quebec. The main floor is an open concept with a kitchen, dining area and living room. Bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. Although I don' t have a traditional shower, there is a shower head on the bathtub faucet. The back yard is large and fenced for kids and pets (dogs only) to enjoy. Bring your own wood if you want to use the fire pit. Bring pods if you want to use the Keurig or Nespresso.
My back yard is private and fenced. The house is solid wood and traditional.
Across the road from the Chilliwack River with access points close by for fishing and enjoying the river. We are also close to many hiking and walking trails.

Please read detailed description before booking! CRVBasecamp is a humble little space situated on the edge of an outdoor-lovers paradise. Meant as a launch-pad, you can gain unencumbered access from your doorstep to the stunning Chilliwack River Valley backcountry. Endless alpine hiking and trail-running. World-class kayaking, rafting and salmon fishing on the River. Minutes to mountain biking, paragliding, mountaineering, caving, canoeing and more. Less than 15 mins to Cultus Lake.
Important information to know before booking: 1. Our tiny home is a small space in a rural, family-oriented rural neighbourhood. Our neighbours are some of our best friends and respecting the space is a must. CRVBasecamp is a space to hang your hat at night while escaping to the mountains, the river, or Cultus Lake during the day. It's not a great space for more than three people to enjoy. As this is a rural neighbourhood, expect to experience movement starting relatively early in the morning. Generally, this doesn't happen much before 9 am, but often lawns get mowed, engines get mechanic'd, and vehicles get started. Not a huge issue if you're planning on being up somewhat early to head out adventuring anyway. 2. There is a composting toilet. This is probably the most important part of your stay! It’s also something that is not too common and you might have to adjust your thinking a bit in order to get comfortable with it. 3. We are within proximity of Chilliwack Lake Road. The popularity of the valley as an outdoor mecca has increased over the past couple of years and there is traffic. Typically, this is only relevant on weekends during the day - weekdays are generally a non-issue. Traffic tends to drop off about dinner time every day and it's normally extremely quiet at night. Throughout the summer, this can be variable (especially on long weekends).
The neighbourhood is on a rural cul-de-sac. There is one main road (Chilliwack Lk Rd) that runs East / West through the valley. Chilliwack River is within walking distance, with the Tamihi rapids at approximately a 10 min walk away. The shoulders of the main road are wide, but cars do tend to drive fast, so caution should be taken if walking or cycling on it.

Seria absolutamente recomendar.

The Tiny House may be tiny, but she be fierce! It is packed full, inside and out, with all the things you need for a lovely unplugged stay in the North Cascades. Wake up to birds singing, take your coffee outside on the large wraparound deck and breathe in the fresh mountain air. After a day exploring, come back to enjoy a drink and some sort of treat you may have picked up from the Mazama Store. Please be aware that there is no WiFi! And you may not have cell coverage.
How to describe this space? Utterly dreamy. From the wraparound porch to the faux fur covered futon lounge area in the loft to the 150 year old cast iron bed to the heated floor in the bathroom - you will fall in love. It’s warm and cozy, but be warned, there is no internet and very sparse cell coverage. All the better for getting in touch with nature. We have a small tv and DVD player. If you are a movie buff, download your movies on your device before heading to the mountains.
The Lost River Tiny House is 7 miles up Hart’s Pass Road from the famous Mazama Store. It is located in the Lost River Airport Association, so you pilots can fly in. How cool is that? From here, you are right at the entrance to the Pasayten Wilderness and all the trails your heart can handle. If you enjoy snowmobiling, Yellow Jacket SnoPark is a mile away.

Located on the bank of the Vedder river near Chilliwack B.C., our family cabin for more than 40 years, is only a short drive from the city. Superb in season salmon river fishing, with lakes and trails nearby. While the summer months are the most popular, garden lovers will appreciate the months of April and May and the burst of colour. Your well cared for pet is most welcome.
Our cabin is small and cosy with an outdoor environment. It is solid red cedar construction and large deck with an outdoor shower. Beautiful gardens, especially in spring, great fall and early winter salmon/steelhead fishing from the front yard. There is a large fire pit overlooking the river with inexpensive firewood available nearby. Advertised here as a two bedroom, the second is small with a double bed and no closet. The cabin is not suitable for more than four people.
We are located in a small subdivision along the Vedder river. Some of our neighbours live here year round and are friendly and knowledgeable. Cultus and Chilliwack lakes are nearby. The Trans Canada trail passes on the opposite side of the river and there are numerous other hikes in the area. Good shopping is available in Sardis, ten minutes to town. More shopping in Chilliwack, twenty minutes to town.

Skagit Steelhead House is a historic 4 bed, 2 bath home that is bright, clean, and spacious with handcrafted rustic touches.
- The coffee table in the sitting area is made from locally sourced maple burls and was handcrafted by a local Rockport lumberman. - The Steelhead and Salmon art in the dining room and sitting area are the creations of a Seattle based artist that frequents both the Skagit and Sauk Rivers. - The shelves in the two larger bedrooms were made from salvaged 2x6 lumber from the original construction.

This is a small cabin. It has a small but ample bathroom and kitchen. A full size bed on the main floor and a full size sleeping pad in the loft. Even though it s small in size it is very clean and cozy.
If you have ever heard of the tiny house movement this is it. People that love the outdoors love this cabin.
This is a quiet neighborhood. With a modern country store that is known for its first class baked goods, sandwiches, beer and Pizza Night. The Happy Hour at the Freestone Inn is also great. If you want some good music & great beer try The Old School House Brewery in Winthrop. Bikes can be rented in Mazama at the bike shop or store.

This cozy modern cabin is in the heart of Mazama at the edge of the Pasayten Wilderness, just 6 miles from the wonderful Mazama store and minutes from hiking and ski trails. Part of the small Lost River community, the cabin is easily accessed just off of Lost River Road. The cabin is close to the road so it is not secluded, but it is the "end of line" for Mazama and the Methow Valley. The road ends just north of the cabin so the area remains fairly quiet.
The well appointed kitchen is the focus of the cabin with stools around the center island for meals. The kitchen opens to a comfortable living room perfect for playing cards or resting and relaxing after a ski or hike. Bedroom 1 is on the main floor and has a queen size bed, closet and spacious dresser with a small private porch off the back door. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower and is on the main floor just off the living room. Bedroom 2 is accessed via an outside staircase with its own private entrance off an outside deck featuring a seating area and wonderful view. There is no WiFi and depending on your phone carrier, you probably won't have cell service at the cabin (but can get it when you're near the Mazama store or in Winthrop). There is a landline at the cabin for emergencies and local calls. The cabin is pet-friendly and welcomes up to 2 dogs per visit.
The Mazama Unplugged Cabin is part of the Lost River Airport Association, a small community located in Lost River - 6 Miles up Lost River Rd from the popular Mazama Store. Mazama is a small, special community in the northern most region of the Methow Valley. It is quite literally the end of the road as it is where Highway 20 closes in the wintertime. It is a small special community of people close to amazing hiking, beautiful rivers, and great skiing.

A completely renovated cottage and rustic cabin sit on this half acre forested lot in the mountains and wilderness near Chilliwack Provincial Park. As this is a vacation property and not a regular air-bnb, you will have the cottage and cabin to yourself. This is the perfect place for one or two families with children to vacation. It is a short distance to Chilliwack Lake Prov Park and river access is nearby. The well known Lindeman lake hike and Bosumarne falls are within walking distance.
The accommodations are split amongst the main cottage and a smaller rustic cabin. The main cottage has a full kitchen and 1.5 bathrooms and has two queen beds, one double, three single beds and a queen sofa bed in the living room. The smaller cabin has one double and one set of bunk beds. Every window in the cottage has a view of the forest or mountains. The other homes in the area are mostly hidden from sight. We have left the property as natural as possible as we love nature. There is a camp fire area, as well as a flat level area. The cottage has both a usable front deck and a large rear deck with barbecue. The cabin (second building) also has small deck in front of it.
This neighbourhood is a small rural subdivision of half acre lots in the wildness near lake Chilliwack. It borders the chillwack river, and Chilliwack lake provincial park, and is close to many hiking, fishing and ATV areas. Everybody keeps to themselves and values their privacy. Most properties are heavily treed as people like their neighbours, but don't want to see their houses.

We are located just north of the Mazama Store and Goat's Beard. Our backyard is brimming with numerous trailheads that lead out to the North Cascades and beyond. Feral Farm’s home is located in Rockport, Washington, United States. The town is a small rural town, with little amenities. It is the natural beauty of the area that draws people in... Rivers, Mountains, Stars, Eagles, Elk, etc. The locals are friendly and accustomed to visitors. The farm is located within 1 mile of Rockport State Park and Howard Miller Steelhead Park, the Post Office and a pub. The nearby towns of Concrete and Darrington offer a grocery store, gluten free bakery, restaurants, and a movie house. This area is preferred by those looking to be in nature vs. the city. You will find small animals, birds, native plants and epic views to enjoy. Year-round adventures are to be had... whitewater rafting, hiking, swimming, fishing, Eagle watching, etc. Be advised that the local fire department often sends out a siren for the local volunteers. Please do not be alarmed as this is only to signal the firefighters to assist with a roadway accident, fire or other emergency.
