The family created Grampie’s Cabin on 2 acres in Central Oregon, just a few miles from Crescent Lake and a short distance from Willamette Pass Ski Resort. My children and grandchildren use Grampie’s Cabin as their base for summer and winter fun. This is a rustic cabin, not a hotel in Manhattan.
3 Bedroom w/ two Queen beds / 2 twin beds and 1 bathroom Sleeps 6 Fully equipped Kitchen is included to make your family meals Satellite dish tv ( in master bedroom only ), games, Legos, Lincoln Logs, puzzles & playing cards are available No Wifi, but some reception may be available on your cellphone The open floor plan creates an environment where you can enjoy each other's company Activities by Season Spring to Fall - My SO and I fish nearly every morning on Odell Lake. We catch and release fish from the time the snow melts to when it starts falling again. Crater Lake National Park, at its depth of 1,943 feet (592 meters) makes it the deepest lake in the United States, and the ninth deepest in the world. The park is open year-round, 24 hours a day. But many of the park's roads, trails, and facilities are closed seasonally due to snow. The Pacific Crest Trail passes within 20 miles of the cabin and is easily accessed by National Forest Service roads. Summer - My daughter, granddaughter and friends ride horses and quads in the National Forest lands surrounding the cabin. They ride from the cabin to Crescent Lake (14 miles north) and to the town of Chemult (12 miles south). ATV trails are clearly marked. Though there are not specific horse riding trails, she has found respectful ATV riders in the rare times they cross paths. After a 20-minute car ride, a person can be sitting on the shore of Crescent Lake, either getting the fishing pole ready or jumping in for a swim. The grandkids love to take the dogs in the lake. Five miles up the road from Crescent Lake is Odell Lake that contains Mackinaw (lake trout), Kokanee (land locked salmon) and rainbow trout. Odell Lake holds the state record for the largest Mackinaw shattering the 40lb. threshold in 1984. Other fun activities in the area include hiking, biking, frisbee golf, boating, canoeing, jet skiing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Winter - My son and grandson snowboard in the winter at Willamette Pass Ski Resort (30-minute drive) and Bachelor Ski Resort (1-hour drive). Additionally, the same trails used for quads in the summer are available for winter snowmobiling, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Sites nearby Willamette Pass Ski Resort (30-minute drive) Bachelor Ski Resort (1-hour drive) Crater Lake (1 hour south) Crescent Lake (14 miles north) Lava fields (50 minutes) High Desert Museum (50 minutes) Towns Chemult (12 miles south) LaPine (40 minutes northeast) Bend (70 minutes northeast) Restaurants Manley’s Tavern (13 miles north) – Excellent broasted chicken Mohawk Restaurant (20 minutes) – Unique experience with hearty food Crescent Lake Lodge (25 minutes) – Got to try the Sunday Brunch Odell Lake Lodge (30 minutes) – You won’t go wrong ordering the Fish and Chips w/ Mud Pie for dessert

Enjoy the snow with your family during the winter! The Norway Crescent Cabin is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom completely remodeled home in Crescent Oregon. Located 17 miles S. of La Pine off Hwy 97, it's still close to all those great Central Oregon activities, but without the high costs and loads of people. You will find the house comfortable, efficient and very reasonably priced for a great get-away. Read more for details.
We own and operate a small vacation rental business: Norway Properties LLC. We've been in the vacation rental business for 20 years, and our experience shows. All of our homes are legal, registered vacation rentals. We have 3 vacation rentals in Oregon (all on Airbnb)--the state we were both born in and still love to pieces. Our homes are all moderately sized, but packed with features, amenities and coziness. People consistently give us excellent reviews and often say our homes are the nicest Airbnb homes that they have experienced. The house has a welcoming porch, and you'll feel at home and cozy right away. The living room features sofa, love-seat and tables for game night. We have a cozy gas stove for those chilly nights. The dining room can seat 6-7 people comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, full size new fridge, dishwasher and microwave. We always supply those little extras too, so your vacation is hassle free. Down the hall there are two bedrooms, and a full bathroom. Kids room is complete with a bunk-bed, and a trundle! We ensure our kids rooms keep the kids entertained, with a TV, game system and toys. The 2nd guest bedroom has a queen bed and comfy bedding for a great night's sleep. Continue to the back of the house and you'll find a larger master suite with good size full bathroom. The room features a king size bed, TV with DVD player and a slider out to a patio area. The decor and furnishings are cute, homey and good quality. We also have a laundry area, so you can clean up after a day of playing in Central Oregon. Out back, you'll find a picnic table, gas BBQ, and chairs for lounging around, just listening to the wind in the pines. We have enough parking for boats or snowmobile trailers, and even have an RV electrical hook-up--which you can use with special arrangements (and separate costs). The home is a nicely remodeled house, and we expect our guests to follow the rules, treat the space with respect and leave the house in good condition. We also have vacation rentals in Warrenton Oregon (N. Coast) Check them out!
Crescent is a very small little town, S. of La Pine. There is a gas station and a couple restaurants, and in 2018, they added a Dollar General store. If you like to fish, swim, boat, hike, snowmobile, ski, snowshoe, or do other outdoor activities, it is a fabulous area to spend time. Take advantage of our reasonable rates and make a trip to Central Oregon a reality. There are dozens of lakes and rivers within a 20-30 mile radius. Crater Lake Park (North Entrance) is only ~42 miles away and is a great day trip. The N. entrance does close during the snowy months of ~November-May, so you will need to drive to the S. entrance which is about 90 miles away during those times.

Definitivamente recomendado.

Old and very rustic hunters cabin. It's not real pretty and not modern but a great little cabin. With wood heat and a very rustic old feel. We will be making improvements as we go but will keep the old cabin feeling. Unfortunatly there is no kitchen but a hot plate and bbq grill will be provided. There is also a refridgerator microwave and coffe pot.

  • Este lugar foi incrível! Estava brilhando limpo.

Both have resorts that offer rentals, but check availability on their websites online at Crescent Lake Resort or Odell Lake Lodge and Resort. -- Enjoy a 30-min to 1- hr drive along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Highway with stops at various lakes/resorts for lunch along the way (Twin Lakes, Lava Lake, Elk Lake) -- A quick 15-min drive gets you to Willamette Pass Ski Resort for downhill skiing and the Gold Lake Sno-Park for xctry skiing and snowshoeing (rentals available). Stop at the Willamette Pass Ski Hut in the Gold Lake Sno-Park parking lot to warm up and enjoy a cup of hot cider. (We provide 4 sets of adult size snowshoes and 3 or 4 sleds.) Plenty of maps and information are available in our "Welcome" guidebook. -- Plan to drive one-hour and spend the day at Oregon's famed Crater Lake National Park for spectacular views, hiking, or hanging out at the lodge. -- Mt Bachelor Ski Resort is only a one-hour drive for some of the best ski and snowboarding runs in the state. -- Head north on Hwy 97 for a 45-min to one-1 drive to visit the Lava Caves, the High Desert Museum, or the city of Bend, Oregon (known for great microbrews and fun downtown vibe) -- Find excellent fishing in the high lakes. Boat rentals available at both Crescent and Odell lake resorts. Thirty-minute plus will get you to Wikiup, Crane Prairie, and Waldo Lakes. Drive 45-minutes to enjoy beautiful fly fishing-only at Hosmer Lake with outstanding views of Mt. Bachelor and the Three Sisters (also known for paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing on the lake's calm water). An hour away takes you to the famous Diamond, Paulina, and East lakes where boat rentals are available. -- Need more ideas, feel free to contact us! Or, refer to our Welcome Book and brochures. The winter months can be a special time to visit. Hwy 58 is plowed by ODOT. And the roads in Diamond Peaks, where our cabin is located, are all plowed. We ensure that our driveway is plowed before guests arrive. Winter is the perfect time for snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding, and you can go straight from the cabin to nearby trails (See our cabin Welcome book for maps). Our cabin is located on the uphill side of the road, which makes for great sledding. You will need an Oregon Sno-Park Permit to park at some locations-available for purchase at the Crescent Lake Sportsman Center or online by searching "Oregon Sno-Park Permit".
Our cabin "Bummy's Place" is located only 1.5-hours from Eugene and 1-hour from Bend, making it an easy and picturesque drive with lots fun places to visit along the way. During the winter all roads are plowed, and we will be certain to have our driveway plowed for our guests' arrival. The cabin sits on one-acres in the beautiful Diamond Peaks development on Royce Mountain. Basic provisions can be purchased at the Crescent Lake Sportsman Center/gas (1.2 miles away). A couple of restaurants across the street from the Sportsman Center offer family fare. Both Crescent and Odell lakes have resorts and equipment rental, but check their season hours. Nearby Willamette Pass Ski Resort is open during the snow season. Although there are other homes in Diamond Peaks, the cabin is situated off the road and offers privacy. Take a walk in the area to see wonderful vistas and why a number of people have decided to make this area their favorite recreation destination.

My cabin is on Crescent Creek, and very secluded and great to just stay and relax. I like to relax on the deck, on the dock and the creek, and in the creek, and hike or ski in the area. Some people like to go to Simax Beach at Crescent lake, about 10 minutes away. There is also hiking and mountain biking in the summer, and skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
Crescent Lake Cabin is a secluded, private cabin on Crescent Creek near the town of Crescent Lake Junction in Oregon. It is the ideal location for a secluded, relaxing, natural getaway, with activities the whole year round. A recent entry in the cabin guest book says, 'What a wonderful spot by the creek! We started the weekend with ambitions of hikes and canoeing on lakes and then soon realized that the best thing was staying by the cabin, walking through the woods, splashing in the creek, playing with inner tubes, playing fetch with our dog, enjoying the wood stove and treasuring each other's company.' Also, people often ask if there will be snow, and my best response is that I can't predict the weather! The trend is that from November through March, there is a good chance of snow, but it is not guaranteed. In 2014-2015, there was little snow. The winter of 2016 to 2017 had record snow. Also, when there is snow, travel is more difficult, and it is necessary to use the wood stove to keep warm; there is no central heat. If this sounds like a fun adventure to you, I encourage you to stay in the winter! Note that there is no wifi, which is intentional, so that my guests and I can unplug. Cell service in the area is spotty, but it is there. Texting works fairly well.
If you do have ambitions of hikes, canoeing, mountain biking, or exploring in general, there is plenty to do: At Crescent Lake Cabin, you can: * Fish from our dock * Swim in either of two swimming holes * Float down the creek * Enjoy your morning coffee with your feet in the creek * Cross-country ski or snowmobile from our front door (winter only!) We are also: * 5 minutes from fishing and water skiing on Crescent Lake * 5 minutes from Odell Lake for more fishing * Near world-class mountain biking * Near the Pacific Crest Trail and other trailheads * I can provide you with hiking and mountain biking trail guides * 10 minutes from Willamette Pass Ski Area * 60 miles from Crater Lake and Diamond Lake * 1 mile from Crescent Lake Junction, with gas, a convenience store, a burger restaurant, and a tavern

Our custom-built log cabin sits at 5,200 ft on 1 acre, with an outdoor deck, picnic table & fire pit. Decorated with Native American & cabin artwork, it has a luxurious lodge feeling throughout, with pine paneled walls for extra coziness. The basement game room provides multiple games & is the highlight for many of our guests. Great for couples, friend groups, families & their pet. 15 mins drive to Willamette Pass for skiing/snowboarding; 10 mins to Crescent Lake; and 1 hr to Crater Lake.
You’ll love the high-end feel of our eco friendly log cabin - we have created a luxurious home away from home! A fully-equipped kitchen with stainless appliances & granite countertops; two fireplaces (wood & gas) so you are warm on every level; comfy beds with cozy linens; the incredible selection of games for entertainment (no cabin fever here!); the calming and peaceful ambience with Tibetan prayer flags blowing outdoors in the breeze; an outdoor BBQ for summertime grilling; deck seating & sun umbrella for shade, and last but not least...the tranquil 1 acre property with picnic table, reading benches, and an outdoor fire pit from which you can enjoy spectacular starry nights. Crater Lake (North Entrance) is approx 1 hour away by car in summer, and makes for an inspiring day trip! During winter time, Crater Lake can be accessed via the South and West entrances which are open year-round. * Included in your nightly rate is seasoned firewood that we have prepared for use in our wood stove, located on the main floor level. * Cleaning rate includes garbage fee. This is a rural area and there is no curb-side pickup. Trash is picked up after every guest stay by our caretaker. *Our home is pet friendly, but please no more than 2 non-aggressive dogs per stay. This is to ensure there is enough room for people and pets to enjoy the space together!
The local town of Crescent Lake has a pub (Manlys) and a seasonal cafe for local food if you don't want to cook. In summer, the Crescent Lake Lodge (on Crescent Lake) is a 10 minute drive-away, offers good pub food in a lovely setting by the lake. The restaurant is NOT open during the winter and so guests should plan to bring their own food/drink and cook at the cabin. There is a general store in Crescent Lake that carries a large selection of basics, catering to locals, campers and RV'ers. I recommend bringing food and groceries with you to prepare meals at the Cabin. Sunriver is a 45 minute drive away in summer, and has a variety of restaurants/shops/entertainment.
