Our spacious Goan-style cottages are located on an organic plantation en-route to Dudhsagar Waterfall, set in a coconut grove, in the midst of exotic plants. It's a 50 acre property with a spice garden, nature trail and natural water swimming pool. Unwind in our tropical paradise, and let yourself be pampered with traditional Goan food. A complimentary Spice Tour is included for our guests.
On our farm (Dudhsagar Plantation), you will live in one of our cozy cottages, each with a lovely veranda. All cottages come with attached bathroom and toilet, with hot and cold water. You live in the midst of a tropical palm-garden, with lots of exotic plants. Please note that you may encounter the occasional little froggy in the bathroom. WiFi is available in the lounge area but not always reliable. This listing is for a Plantation Cottage, which can comfortably sleep upto 3 adults (1 king size bed and 1 sofa bed, latter is not suited for bigger people). It has an attached bathroom with hot and cold water. There are ventilators in the cottage and on the veranda.
The Plantation is located at the foothills of the Western Ghats Mountain Range (a United Nations Heritage Site), on the fringe of Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary/Mollem National Park. It's a great place to relax, read a book, connect with nature... see exotic fruits and spices grow, enjoy the birds, swim at the nearby river or laze around at our natural water swimming pool. There's a nature trail at the plantation, and a 7 km trek you can do in the surroundings, crossing the Dudhsagar River, along paddy fields and through nearby villages. It´s also an ideal base camp for exploring Dudhsagar Waterfall, Mollem National Park and the Tambdi Surla Temple (Goa's oldest, from the temple you can hike to the Tambdi waterfall). If heritage is your thing, you can visit Portuguese Mansions in Chandor and a pre historic rock carving site at Usgalimol (can be combined into a day trip together with a hike to Saveri Waterfall). Salaulim Dam is also worth a visit especially during the rains. Other attractions include the Old Goa Churches (around 45 km) and the Temples at Mardol and Mangueshi (around 35 km) - if you're coming from North Goa, you can visit these en route. You can also do day trips to the beaches at Colva (around 35 km) and Palolem (about 55 km). We are happy to arrange transport.
