Baltimore Gate House of York is a short-term rental perfect for family vacations, visiting sports teams, reunions, event or expo workers or attendees, business travel, traveling nurses or other medical professionals. With deer hunting season just around the corner, we're welcoming hunters too. The convenient location makes commuting to Gettysburg, Pa., Lancaster, Pa. or Philadelphia quick and easy.
Neighborhood activities include fishing the trout-stocked streams, seasonal deer hunting on 200 acres of open game lands (access >1mile), hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. (Those planning to trailer their horses will need a neighborhood overnight boarding stable but there's plenty of room for trailers.)
The Baltimore Gatehouse of York is an open/split plan home with plenty of space for entertaining indoors or out.
The master suite has an office/bonus room, bedroom and full bath with new soaker tub and gate to control pet or small child access.
The other 3 bedrooms are modest averaging 140 sq. ft (typical for a 1970s ranch )
The 2 Full Bathrooms include shower/tub combos. The guest bathroom has a large closet for storage, dirty linens and towel baskets, hait drier, first aid and cleaning supplies. The master bath shower/tub combo features a large soaker tub installation into a smaller bathroom.
The eat-in kitchen features an island breakfast bar and dinette, glass top electric stove/oven range, upgraded dishwasher, side by side refrigerator with filtered water/ ice, and hood/under cabinet mount microwave oven.
The kitchen is well equiped for home cooked meals, baking, and dinner parties.
A 6 top dining table can be set up in the dinning room.
Since the kitchen has eat-in area and island breakfast bar, we use the dining area as a very large back deck entry foyer. It's a great place to groom, feed and water pets.
When entertaining, use the two 5 ft folding tables to set up a buffet area; great for serving guests both inside and on the deck.
The living room is furnished with a 3 seat sofa, recliner and arm chair and guests can enjoy their favorite programming on the wall mounted smart TV w/ bose sound system and Direct TV.
The family room is designed for entertainment. The Xbox is hooked up to the 50 inch flat screen TV, has two wireless controllers, and just over 50 games rated T or M. There's a Direct TV wifi reciever for cable, a DVD player and even a VCR w/ some VHS tapes.
If the little ones are too young for rated T or M video games they'll find age appropriate tactile toys, games, crafts, books, and plenty of "props" for make believe play all in the kids book nook area.
There's a wood-burning fireplace, in good working order, with an insert blower and glass doors for safety and efficiency.

LAUNDRY AND FITNESS AREA
Guests will find a laundry area w/ full sized ironing board, iron, hand held steam machine, folding table, clothes line, hangers and hanging bar. There's also a modest but effective fitness space.
Other Utilities include a whole house triple reverse osmosis water filter, water pressure tank, hot water heater, dehumidifier, and plenty of storage.
The back deck is approx. 300 sqft. and overlooks the backyard and 100s of acres of farm land. The small grill takes the green Coleman propane bottles.
Please remember, our check-out cleaners don't clean the grill regularly. Guests may need to clean the grill before use and will need to purchase propane.
Other than this property's amazing location, picturesque views and spacious environment, the home sits on 1 acre of land adjoining several hundred acres of farmland, offering plenty of privacy, a place to ride 4 wheelers/motor dirt bikes and let your pets to run.

The neighbors are quite and mostly go on about there business. There are only 10 houses, 5 on each side of the road, on our road. Less than a mile away there's horseback riding, hiking and off road biking trails, stocked trout streams, open game lands. See the aerial view photo.
Not only is the surrounding area a perfect blend of natural and designed landscape, and you feel like your miles away from civilization, by car guest can commute to many popular worldwide destinations.
Drive to York in less than 10 minutes, Lancaster, Harrisburg and Gettysburg are about a 30-40 minute drive. Baltimore Inner Harbor about 45 minutes to an hour drive, Philadelphia and Washington DC are both about 1 hour and 30 minutes drive.
