The Loft - a self contained light and airy 200 year old farm building in the hamlet of Swartha with magnificent views across the Aire valley. Ideal for walking, cycling or just relaxing. Easy access to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Leeds Liverpool Canal, Haworth - Bronte Country, Worth Valley Railway, Bolton Abbey, Malham plus the many amenities of the towns of Silsden, Addingham, Ilkley, Skipton, Harrogate, and Keighley.
The external door leads into the downstairs space which has a TV, small fridge with milk and bottled water, Microwave, toaster, kettle plus coffee, tea and breakfast cereal. A rail for hanging clothes, plus hanging shelves with the hair dryer, a shoe rack plus two folding chairs, and a tray table. The wet room leads off this living area. Upstairs is cosy with a bed with two sliding drawers, two small bedside cabinets, double doors lead out onto a railed balcony, which has a table and 2 chairs.
There are many places of interest Ilkley Moor, Bolton Abbey, Grassington riverside, Malham Cove and Kilnsey Crag. The spa town of Harrogate is only 35 minutes away and the Historic town of York is approx an hour away. There is Narrow boat hire available in Silsden and there are local walks or cycling from the doorstep or just a short drive away.

All just 10 minutes walk to the shops and lots of lovely places to eat. A perfectly peaceful base for holiday makers, walkers, cyclists or the business traveller.
    In your Room with a View there is ample wardrobe space with drawers and mirrored doors. Plenty of work space on the desk for laptop etc, free Wifi and lots of electric sockets. Feel free to use the kitchen facilities to heat and eat your food and where you will also find access to a TV/radio. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread and cereals will be provided for you to make your own breakfast and there is a separate fridge should you need to store your own food. Enjoy relaxing in my peaceful garden with splendid views of the surrounding Dales. There is a lockable storage shed at the front of the property for your bike. Longer term stays for a business person welcomed.
    This is a quiet residential area on a hillside with lovely views and only 10 minutes taxi ride from the station. It is the ideal base if you are coming for a holiday to sample some of the best of the British countryside but also want to link up easily the culture that is on offer in Leeds, Harrogate or York. My home is also a convenient and peaceful place for the business traveller.

    Skipton is a lively market town - market days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday's. It has a canal, lots of lovely cafes, bars and restaurants and a thriving live music scene. Excellent transport links to Leeds, Manchester and the Dales . Bus station and train fromy house. Wetherspoonsis a 3 min walk and is open from.8am for breakfast

Easy walking distance of the local pub (5mins), 2miles from the bustling vibrant market town of Skipton “Yorkshires, Gateway to the Dales”. Ample free parking on site, A perfect location for couple/small group/family who want to relax in the great outdoors or explore Skipton and beyond. Pets and infants at no extra cost!
    There is an enclosed patio area with table and chairs for the private use of this accommodation . There is also private parking immediately in front of the accommodation. A small croft can be used which is at the bottom of the house drive , which may be useful for those bringing dogs .
    We live in a quite area of the village which is south facing , so when the sun is out we can get coverage most of the day. We do have neighbours , so we ask for guests to respect the quiet hours of 10pm -8am. We have our own croft , which is accessible from the accommodation , and is perfect for allowing your dog to have a bit of freedom , or if you want to make use of it to sunbathe , relax , play or just paddle in the stream. There are many lovely walks straight from the door step, which can incorporate some of the local pubs from nearby villages. Carleton itself has a lovely modern country pub The Swan Inn , which is dog friendly , is approx 3 min walk and serves some really excellent food . It serves food every day 12-9pm.

We are surrounded by gorgeous countryside and are within a 2 minute walk of the leeds and liverpool canal. close to steeton station and Airedale general hospital.
    Private double room with tv. Bathroom, dining room and reading/relaxing area with sofa and lots of books, these areas are shared with one other guest room.
    Silsden is a wonderful place to live, people are friendly and will say hello if they see you in the street. We are close to the gateway of the Dale's and the scenery is just spectacular! There are some super places to go out for a drink in the evening from traditional pubs to a sports and gin bar. We have some delicious places to eat including cafes and an Italian restaurant plus plenty of takeaways for hassle free food. Steeton and Silsden station is close by with a direct line into Leeds as well as being just 1.5 miles away from Airedale general hospital making us perfect for holiday makers and professional people alike!

    A spacious double room with a shared bathroom in a traditional Victorian terraced house on the edge of the popular market town of Skipton. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Guests will also have sole use of the downstairs living room, where tea and coffee making facilities are provided, including a coffee machine. Continental breakfast is also available. Guests have access to TV in the guest lounge, DAB radio in the bedroom and free WiFi throughout the house. In addition, there are powered USB sockets at either side of the bed for charging your phones, tablets etc. Towels and bathrobes are provided. The bathroom (shared with the hosts) has a shower with an ‘ionic ‘shower head, and a bath.
    Skipton is very well served with pubs, cafés and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. The hosts are happy to make recommendations based on individual preferences.

    Ryefield studio is a cosy modern studio situated on the edge of Bradley a small village just 2miles out of Skipton. Our studio is a perfect place for couple/friends wanting to explore the Yorkshire dales and surrounding areas. We are pet friendly with plenty of outside space for you to walk your dog. We also have ample private parking.
    Ryefield Studio is a studio flat, situated above our garage. There is several steps to its own decking area and front door. It’s a small cosy studio, with everything you need for your stay.
    Bradley has a local shop, which is well stocked and has good opening hours, a pub (The Slaters Arms) which serves delicious food and has an excellent beer garden. We are also surrounded by beautiful walks, including the Leeds/Liverpool canal which can offer a walk/cycle to Skipton. Skipton is a small market town. It has a castle which is worth the visit, lovely walks in the woods or along the canal, it also has a wide range of cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs. ALDI supermarket is also a 5 minute drive away.

The cottage has been converted from what was the original barn to Ivy Cottage Farm and is ideally located for those wanting to explore this beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales. Carleton has a village store, village pub serving food and lovely walks around the village and into town.
    Poppy Cottage No. 1 is a stylish one-bedroom cottage; built and created from the original barn to Ivy Cottage Farm, sadly no longer a working farm yet surrounded by glorious open countryside and views of the hills and moors. The ideal place for those who want a 'quiet retreat' to relax and unwind and soak away the stresses of daily life in the superb hot-tub set in its own private south facing gardens/terrace with barbeque area. Internally the cottage has a bright and airy L-shaped open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with wood burning stove in the sitting area with comfy settee and cuddle chair; along with a large flat screen TV with freeview channels; DVD player; a selection of DVDs provided and the TV is now fitted with a chromecast for all your streaming with the benefit of superfast wifi throughout the cottage. To the first floor, there is a large double bedroom with king-size wooden bed; stunning views from this room of the hills and countryside and across the small landing, the newly appointed bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower over; toilet and washbasin. Next door to Poppy No. 1 is Poppy Cottage No. 2, again a newly renovated cottage, converted from the original barn. This cottage sleeps up to 5 people and shares the same private courtyard and parking area. Booked together these two cottages can accommodate a group of up to 7 people and can be opened up internally when the connecting door is unlocked. Reassurance is given that both cottages are very private when booked individually.
    Carleton in Craven is an lovely Dales village on the outskirts of Skipton the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. It has a lovely, local pub and village shop serving everything you may need during your stay. There is some fabulous scenery around the village and lovely walks along the river and into town.

Carleton has a pub, a social club, a village store, a Post Office, a pharmacy, and direct bus links to Skipton during the week. The Pennine Way crosses the top of Carleton Moor and sections of 2014 Tour de France are on the doorstep.
    The Loft is a third floor apartment, comprising a spacious living room with a smart TV including its own Netflix log in and DVD player, a well equipped kitchen, bathroom, secondary WC, bedroom, and private outdoor terrace. The apartment is very light and airy during the day; extremely cosy on a night, and at its best on a summer day when the terrace comes into its own, which is accessed directly from both the living room and bedroom.

Firth Mills is an historic converted textile mill located in a quiet residential area just a few minutes walk from Skipton's bustling market high street, dozens of cafes, restaurants, shops, and the medieval castle.
    The apartment is stylish and modern yet also cosy. You'll be able to start the day with a waterfall shower and complementary tea, coffee, and fresh milk. Any planning you'd like to do can be easy with the WiFi, and you'll hopefully feel right at home with the full use of my kitchen, dining area, and balcony. TV with freeview, Amazon Prime, and Netflix will also give you plenty of choice for any chilled-out evenings. The tall headboard of the bed provides you the option to put your feet up and read after what I hope will be a lovely day spent exploring Skipton and beyond! You are also welcome to use my gym equipment in the upstairs mezzanine.
    Residents of the mill are generally very quiet and only heard when passing through the corridor. Whilst not silent, the local environment is generally quiet with only light traffic and morning birdsong being noteworthy. Just around the corner in this safe neighbourhood are two convenience stores, a lovely fish and chip shop, a bakery, and a curry-house.

    Recently renovated with character and charm throughout, this semi-detached spacious cottage offers outstanding holiday accommodation for two. The open plan living room has comfortable seating for four, including a sofa bed, a cosy wood burning stove and a spacious dining area. There is a flat screen HD TV with free view, DVD player, and CD player available as well as a selection of DVD’s books, games and puzzles for guests to use. French doors lead out onto a sunny patio area and steps lead down to the private garden. The modern kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. The bedroom is spacious and well laid out with a king size bed. The en-suite bathroom has a separate shower and large bath ideal for relaxing in after a day out on the nearby fells. The bed is made up with Egyptian cotton sheets and soft towels are provided. A welcome tray laid with milk, tea, coffee and a freshly baked cake will be waiting for you on arrival so you can relax and enjoy some refreshments after your journey. Sorry no pets are allowed in the cottage.

    A quaint basement accommodation, within three minute walking distance from the market town of Skipton, easy access to train station and cinema and local swimming pool, the gateway to the Dales. Our accommodation does NOT have a kitchen - please read description carefully to avoid disappointment! :)
    The accommodation is in the basement of our family home. On speaking to past guests they have confirmed that you can hear us upstairs, but we can't hear you. Previous guests have said its like mumbled talking occasionally, the dog barking and general walking around, no one has had an issue with it, in fact the comments have been positive, stating that it makes the place more friendly and homely! We do not stay up into the early hours of the morning partying and all noise has usually ceased by 10pm! Please don’t book with us if you require total silence!! The accommodation comprises of a lounge with open range fire, comfortable settee and table and two chairs. A large double bedroom with a king size bed, dressing table with three way mirror and plenty of storage space. PLEASE NOTE that the double bed is higher than your average double bed. The best way to describe it would be the height of a Victorian bed, I am 5’ 4” and when standing next to the bed the top of the mattress is waist height (hope that helps!). It certainly would not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. There is a single bedroom with a single bed and a pull out bed, this room could accommodate two children. There is a chair and bedding box in the single room plus a large wardrobe. The bathroom has a toilet, wash basin and a shower. We provide the essentials such as soap, shampoo, loo rolls, towels. THE BASEMENT DOES NOT HAVE A KITCHEN but in the recess of the lounge there is a sideboard with a microwave, toaster, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar and bread and jams for breakfast. The lounge also has a mini fridge and a cupboard with crockery, glass wear and knives and forks. There will be milk and butter in the fridge for you. There is a washing up bowl, tea towels and washing up liquid in the bathroom, all we ask is that if your stay is for a long period then could you wash and dry your pots as we do not ‘house keep’ during your stay. The basement is located at the bottom of some stone steps so unfortunately it would be unsuitable for anyone struggling with steps. We live in a quiet area of Skipton but only a two/three minute walk away from the town centre. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in easy walking distance.

    The flat overlooks the Leeds/Liverpool canal. A relaxing place to sit and watch the boats and wildlife on the water with easy access to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Only a 15 minute walk on the towpath takes you to Skipton with its abundance of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars as well as the famous market which is held 4 days a week. An early check-in and/or a late check-out can be arranged subject to availability. Netflix is accessible with my log-in details - no need for our own.
    There is a drop leaf table and 4 dining chairs for a better dining experience. For maximum comfort the sofa bed is only really suitable for one adult or two children - although some guests choose to use it for 2 adults.
    There are plenty of walks directly from the flat - 20/30 minutes walk along the canal towpath to Skipton Castle Woods. The Boathouse Bar in the canal basin is our favourite watering hole and the Sound Bar is brilliant for music and a vibrant atmosphere. Lots of choice for good restaurants and take-aways. Tesco, Morrisons, M&S food hall and Aldi are all nearby as well as a plethora of independent bakeries and butchers shops. Lots more information in the flat.

There are wonderful walks in Skipton woods or on the fells. Bolton Abbey is 10 minutes away and Skipton is full of great dog friendly pubs, restaurants and cafes. You can hire a day boat on the Leeds / Liverpool canal, road or mountain bikes from us or even book a chauffeur driven tour of the Yorkshire Dales in a classic car! We have a beautiful, large enclosed garden, full Sky package including Sports and Movies and very fast, hard wired BT WiFi. We have just completed a full renovation including a new kitchen and bathroom. The cottage has parking for one car.

    A rural retreat with commanding views. We are up at 1000ft on the back of Ilkley Moor looking south towards Haworth and Bronte country as well as being on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with Bolton Abbey just 5 miles away. Although isolated, there are good local rail and bus links to Bradford and Leeds for those missing city life! The Shippon is ideal for that "get away from it all feeling" and for those who don't want all the amenities on their doorstep! Well behaved dogs welcome
    Access to the Shippon is via a 3/4 mile farm track with 3 gates. This is fine for cars with normal ground clearance and careful driving but not suitable for low slung vehicles. The weather on the moor can make getting in an out of cars to open and shut the gates a memorable experience so we advise that guests should be physically fit enough to cope happily with this!

    Overbeck is a cosy compact bungalow situated within the grounds of our home, in the pretty village of Bradley. The village has its own shop and pub serving great food. Overbeck is a short stroll away from the banks of the Leeds/Liverpool canal, with excellent walks to Skipton approx 2 miles away.
    Overbeck is a self contained bungalow and is a great base to visit Skipton and the dales. Skipton is easily accessible either on foot/bicycle, (2 miles along canal bank) or by bus which stops in the village.
    Bradley is a small pretty village 2 miles from Skipton. We have a shop that stocks most essentials and a great pub. The slaters arms serves really good food and has a large patio area, the locals are very friendly!

    A former canal-side pub which has recently been beautifully redesigned and renovated. It has magnificent views along the canal and across the Aire Valley . The front door opens onto the Leeds Liverpool canal towpath. It has a large open plan living room and a well designed kitchen with a separate utility space. The downstairs bathroom has both a shower and bath, and upstairs there is a double bedroom and a separate mezzanine area with a day bed. Self check-in with a key kept in a keysafe.
    The property is very light and spaceous and has an excellent central heating system and a wood burner for use in the colder months making it comfortable all year round. It still has the original beautiful wood beams and wood from the former bar has been used to make sills in the living area. The living room has two comfortable sofas and a new 50 inch SMART TV and an assortment of puzzles and games for all ages. It also has spectacular views from all the windows. The windows facing the canal towpath are fitted with shutters which guests can open or close depending on their preferences. The dining area has an extendable table which will easily seat up to 6 people. There is a wood burner in the corner of this area. The kitchen has a useful breakfast bar which seats 2 people, a fridge, freezer, small dishwasher, a fitted microwave, an electric oven and an induction hobb with extractor fan. It is well equipped with crockery, glasses, cutlery and all you will need for self catering including baking and cooking a roast dinner! As you leave the kitchen you enter a corridor with access to the bathroom with a large shower-bath, a basin with a vanity unit, a WC and a bathroom mirror which has a blue-tooth speaker. Along the corridor from the bathroom is a small utility space which contains the washer/dryer and cleaning equipment plus items such as the high chair. The stairs next to the bathroom door go up to the bedroom and the mezzanine area. The bedroom has a very comfortable king-sized bed and a large fitted wardrobe which also contains a drawer unit. it has a second SMART TV in it. The mezzanine has wonderful views down to the living area and a comfortable single day bed with a pull-out trundle bed beneath it. The trundle can be put next to the day bed, providing a full king size bed or simply used as a single. When the trundle is pulled out, the bed does take up the whole width of the mezzanine floor so it would not be possible to walk round it. In this area there are two book cases with a variety of books and some children's toys. The velux windows in the ceiling of the mezzanine have black out blinds, but this is not an enclosed space like the bedroom is, so during daylight hours, it is not possible to make it completely dark. There is a travel cot with linen, which will be put in the bedroom if requested. We welcome up to 2 dogs and have a clean dog bed, dog blankets and towels and a dog bowl for use by our canine guests.
    This is a wonderful area for walking and enjoying the countryside. There are lovely walks along the towpath and on Farnhill Moor. Being close to the Yorkshire Dales, there are also many more adventurous walks nearby. We have information about local walks in the property. For guests who are particularly interested in the canal, a number of local canal boat companies hire day boats and details of these will be available to you. The market town, Skipton, is well worth a visit, includuing Skipton Castle and Skipton Castle Woods. In the other direction is the village of Howarth with the Bronte Parsonage Museum and numerous quaint shops. The city of Leeds is a short drive or train ride from the property. There is a pub within two minutes walk from the property and this now serves food. There is also a curry house, a fish and chip shop and an Italian Restaurant within walking distance and numerous other nice pubs and restaurants a short drive away We are happy to provide further information and advice to guests when they visit.

Our facilities and flexible check in are well suited for this. Taxis are plentiful, reliable and inexpensive (even after midnight). Very quiet and convenient for business users also.
    A welcoming property at your disposal; you will have full access to the kitchen, living room, dining room and garden. Along with exclusive use of one of the two bathrooms and shared use of the second bathroom if the host is in residence. One of the two double shower cabins has steam facility, coloured lights, radio, which children love. Car parking on the drive or on the adjacent road (free). Safe storage for cycles.

    A newly built dwelling in the grounds of our c18th century farmhouse with stunning views across the Pennine hills. We are situated just above the village of Cowling in North Yorkshire, a peaceful setting complimented in the Lodge by having no TV (there is WiFi if you want to bring your own tablet or laptop for your fix). Underfloor heating with the addition of a log burner will keep you warm while the wind blows across the hills outside.
    The Lodge has a double bedroom with a king size bed, bathroom and open plan living area. Upon your arrival there will be tea, coffee and milk to welcome you. The bedroom overlooks the fields towards Cowling Pinnacle and Lund's Tower in one direction, and over our vegetable patch and chicken run (which you are welcome to go and feed the chickens) in the other. The open plan living area has a kitchen with hob, oven, extractor, dishwasher, sink, plenty of storage and all the usual kitchen equipment (if there is anything missing, just let us know). There is also a dining table with four chairs and a sofa/chair in front of the wood burner (which will be equipped with logs for one night, further logs are available for purchase). There is no TV to make this a peaceful stay with the chance to unwind and relax. You are welcome to wander through our field which joins on to some of the many public footpaths in the area. If you do need to work or connect to the outside world, there is secure WiFi in the Lodge. The shower room has a twin headed shower, basin and toilet in. The Lodge has underfloor heating throughout, the heating and hot water are provided by an air source heat pump powered by the solar panels on the roof.
    Cowling has a village shop, pub and restaurant, with many other pubs and restaurants serving good food being within an easy drive.

    The Granary is set in the quiet village of Carleton just 2 miles from Skipton and was built in 2012 from Yorkshire stone to create an annexe to the original farmhouse, Ivy Cottage Farm. Sadly no longer a working farm, Ivy Cottage Farm is an original 17th Century Dales longhouse with open countryside to the rear and views of the hills. There are some lovely local walks from your doorstep and the village itself has a local pub serving; village shop/off license, and regular bus service into town.
    The Granary is a stylish, one bedroomed apartment/annexe, newly refurbished with underfloor heating. It is all on one level with just 3 steps from the communal entrance hall to its internal front door and has a very stylish and contemporary interior. The open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area has wonderful high ceilings with exposed wooden trusses and bi-folding doors look out and lead to the south facing, private decked patio where you have views of the garden, hills and countryside. In the one bedroom, the beds can be arranged either as twin beds or together to form a comfortable superking bed. This cosy little pad is ideal for couples and provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the town. Skipton is very accessible from Carleton and is just a 5-minute drive away or easy level walk across open fields or by following the pavemented route along the road. Carleton itself has a few amenities; with the village pub, local store/off-licence, serving groceries, newspapers etc and is open 7 days a week; a phamacy and a Post Office. The village also has a regular bus service, Monday to Friday, for those who want to leave the car behind.
    Carleton is a lovely rural village with stunning views across the valley into Skipton known as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. It is very typically Yorkshire and the fields surrounding the village are often full with sheep and cattle. The hills and moors which surround the village make a very colourful and scenic backdrop.

We are surrounded by gorgeous countryside and are within a 2 minute walk of the leeds and liverpool canal. close to steeton station and Airedale general hospital.
    Private bedroom with King size bed and TV. Bathroom, dining room and reading/relaxing area with sofa and lots of books, these areas are shared with one other guest room.
    Silsden is a wonderful place to live, people are friendly and will say hello if they see you in the street. We are close to the gateway of the Dale's and the scenery is just spectacular! There are some super places to go out for a drink in the evening from traditional pubs to a sports and gin bar. We have some delicious places to eat including cafes and an Italian restaurant plus plenty of takeaways for hassle free food. Steeton and Silsden station is close by with a direct line into Leeds as well as being just 1.5 miles away from Airedale general hospital making us perfect for holiday makers and professional people alike!

Eu fiquei em um dos dois quartos disponíveis que têm uma entrada / chaves privadas separadas, muito chá / café disponível, uma grande área de jantar espaçosa e privativa e muito cereal / leite para o café da manhã. A cama era grande e confortável; todo o lugar estava limpo. Banheiro de bom tamanho com um adorável chuveiro quente. Também uma área no grande patamar entre os dois quartos com livros para ler e um sofá, mesa e cadeiras para sentar. Existem algumas escadas para subir - uma escada externa para alcançar a porta da frente e escadas para os quartos. Um lugar muito agradável para ficar, com anfitriões atenciosos e gentis. Situated in the picturesque North Yorkshire village of Cononley. Two village pubs and a quirky local shop. Train station 3 mins walk and 1 stop from the beautiful tourist town of Skipton.     This is a beautiful, spacious and bright double room. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and guests are also welcome to make a cuppa in the fabulous kitchen. There is space to study in the bedroom if needed or you might like to simply relax with a glass of wine in our free standing bath! Plenty of room to hang clothes and there is a hairdryer - all ready for an evening out exploring.
    Cononley is a very picturesque village nestled into beautiful countryside, just 3 miles south of the thriving tourist town of Skipton. Most houses in Cononley date back to the 17th Century, with recent innovative redevelopment of the former textile mill. There are 2 great pubs and a park with bowling green, cricket pitch and play area. Cononley pubs serve great food and Skipton is very close if you would like more choice. I am involved in Skipton's Meetup - you would be very welcome to join in any of our social events (Skipton has a great live music scene and some fantastic restaurants).

Walkers may enjoy the surrounding countyrside using footpaths from Skipton or those a short drive away in Wharfedale or Malhamdale, where you can climb Malham Cove to enjoy the panoramic views from the Limestone Pavement. Artists and Photographers have a wealth of stunning scenery to paint or photograph in Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales. Fishing is available at Kilnsey Trout Farm, beween Grassington and Kettlewell, north of Skipton, or for those who like to climb there is Kilnsey Crag to climb after you have caught your Trout! With so many adventures on your doorstep and within easy reach, you are sure to have a memorable stay at Aire Vue.

    Poppy Cottage No. 2 is set in the quiet village of Carleton; just 2 miles and within comfortable walking distance of Skipton. The cottage has been lovingly restored from what was the original barn to Ivy Cottage Farm (a traditional Yorkshire Dales farmhouse) retaining many of the original features associated with the building. With glorious Yorkshire Dales countryside on your doorstep; the village has a local pub serving meals, a village store and great walks on your doorstep and into town.
    The cottage has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and can comfortably sleep up to 5 people with the use of the pull out sofabed in the lounge. It has been converted from the original barn attached to the farmhouse of Ivy Cottage Farm. Sadly no longer a working farm; Ivy Cottage and Poppy Cottages have open countryside to the rear and stunning views which stretch across the valley towards Skipton; the hills and moors surrounding the town making a colourful backdrop. Poppy Cottage No. 2 has held onto many of its original barn features with exposed stonework, whitewashed beams and stone fireplace with wood burning stove. It is a large spacious home which can sleep up to 5 with the use of the pull-out sofabed in the lounge and the added benefit of a ground floor shower room. The house bathroom is to the first floor with large bath and shower cubicle. The newly fitted kitchen has a dining area and is complete with dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric cooker and hob and all the kitchen essentials required for self-catering. You will find tea, coffee and sugar all in the kitchen and on the day of arrival, a jug of fresh milk, for that all important cuppa on arrival. The spacious lounge has two 3-seater sofas (one being a sofa/bed) and armchair, a wood-burning stove set in a stone fireplace. There is a spacious double bedroom to the first floor, which has twin wooden beds that can be made into a superking bed if preferred and a single bedroom with standard size single bed. Both rooms have fantastic views and across the landing there is the large family bathroom. Travel cot and bedding & high chair are stored in the cottage and there is a stairgate fitted. The garden area to the front of the cottage is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. It is not completely private as there is an access path to the other cottages it does however provide an elevated place to sit, eat and generally relax, whilst taking in the stunning views of the hills and moors surrounding Skipton and Carleton. Outside in the shared courtyard with Poppy Cottage No. 1, there is some extra outdoor seating and parking for 2 cars. Lovely mature gardens surround both cottages. Poppy Cottages are both non smoking and no pets are allowed. Whilst there is no washing machine in the cottages you are able to use our washing machine at Ivy Cottage Farm if needed.
    We live in a lovely village Carleton in Craven, their is a great community atmosphere here and the Carleton Web group keep us up to date with all that's is going on. Skipton is only a 5 minute drive away for some very fine eating places and is a lovely colourful market town steeped in history take a look at Skipton on the web.
