Uma surpresa inesperada foi que recebemos um maravilhoso café da manhã todas as manhãs, em um horário que nos era adequado. Localização era perfeita, apenas a 10 minutos a pé de lojas, restaurantes e do passeio. Eu recomendaria este estabelecimento para quem deseja ficar no Lake District.

Todas as manhãs, Matthew nos traz café da manhã especial, incluindo mingau de bricolage, torradas, chá preto britânico e uma xícara de suco de oragnge, o que nos dá a sensação de estar em casa. Por causa da distância e do mau tempo, Matthew nos dá uma carona até a estação e nos ajuda a lidar com nossa bagagem pesada. Além do mais, a casa de Matthew e Sara era bastante limpa e bonita.     Luxury accommodation close to Arnside Knot, ideal for walkers and cyclists. Under floor heating, private shower room, courtyard with seating, free WiFi. There is no kitchen, but there is a small fridge, kettle, cups & plates for you to use. Often it is ok to check-in earlier and leave later, please just ask! CORONAVIRUS: please do not come to Arnside on holiday, our studio is available to relatives of locals, and key workers. It is a self contained unit with its own access.
    Our newly built studio features an en suite toilet and under floor heating. You have use of a beautiful little courtyard with seating. There are curtains that cover the main windows so it is as private as you want it to be. The bed is a very comfortable pull out sofa bed, with an extra mattress topper. The size of the main room is 11.5 square metres or 123 square feet. (comfortable for two people). There is also of course the en-suite toilet and shower room.
    A very quiet residential area just 100 metres from the woods on Arnside Knot. You can walk to the pubs and restaurants in Arnside in 15 minutes

    Rock Cottage is a bijou detached two bedroom character cottage nestled in beautiful woodland, on the edge of the peaceful Kent Estuary village of Storth. Found in the Arnside Silverdale Area of Outstanding Beauty in South Lakeland. Immerse yourself in the beautiful woodlands or within a mile you can stroll to the coast. For excellent walking from the doorstep, cosy evenings in front of the fire, and within a stagger of a great pub. Lake District attractions are only 30 minutes away.
    Guests can enjoy the privacy and relaxation that comes with staying in our little chocolate box country cottage. The perfect romantic retreat or a base for exploring the beautiful outdoors, Rock Cottage is full of character, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine in the private natural garden, or in front of the wood burning stove, at the end of your day. There are no street lights or traffic noise to keep you awake at night, but you will probably hear a few owl hoots! The king size bed has a super comfortable mattress, so if you plan to make an early start you may want to set an alarm. Rock Cottage is situated in the edge of woodland just outside the village of Storth. Both the beautiful coast and a great pub, The Ship Inn, are Less than half a mile away from the doorstep. The small village of Storth is situated on the tidal estuary of the River Kent and within the Silverdale and Arnside Area of Outstanding Beauty on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The local area is a haven for wildlife, the National Trust stating “the mix of wildlife that you can see in Arnside and Silverdale is like no other place in the country”. The combination of different habitats; the coastal climate, woodland, limestone pavement and grassland attract many species of birds and butterflies that would not normally be seen in the same region. The area is known for its wildflowers too. There are many beautiful walks nearby suitable for those who just like a stroll to those who like to be out for hours. Beetham Fairy steps is a lovely walk from the cottage, remember to make your wish whilst there. Or follow the beautiful coastline to Arnside and savour a delicious treat from The Old Bakehouse. Arnside Knott with its stunning views across Morecombe bay with the lake district mountains behind has been attracting visitors for over 100 years. In this designated area of natural beauty there is always something to marvel at in nature. All this and within a 30 minute drive you can be exploring lake Windermere. Of course, with the quietness of the cottage, you may just decide to curl up with a great book. The choice is yours. Guest access Guests have the whole cottage to themselves. That includes the kitchen, open plan lounge dining area, two bedrooms, family bathroom, nature garden and parking. Other things to note The master bedroom is accessible via the bunk bedroom. We therefore recommend the cottage for couples and families with children who this arrangement suits. Please use the cottage like your home. Well behaved dogs accepted for a fee with the owner’s approval.
    Walks are available straight from the front door. Nesteled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty let yourself get back to nature with walks or biking straight from the cottage, or the Lakes. With Windemere just 25 minutes away it is a great place to explore the Lake district as well as Silverside and Arnside's AONB. Cumbria, England, United Kingdom Guests come to Rock Cottage to experience the beautiful outdoors. Forest and coastal walks in an Area of Outstanding Beauty with limestone pavements and rare wildlife from the doorstep, the pretty village of Arnside with possibly the best sunsets in the world just a walk or short drive away, and the main attractions of the Lake District within a thirty minute drive. You don’t need to leave the cottage to see the huge range of birdlife in the garden and surrounding woodland, and if you’re lucky you’ll spot deer browsing in the woods too. For even more wildlife, Leighton Moss RSPB wildlife reserve is very close by. There’s a great dog-friendly pub on the coast just a few minutes stroll from the cottage, and a great choice of other pubs and eateries within easy reach, most of which are also dog friendly. For practical purposes, a supermarket, petrol, and choice of take aways in the small town of Milnthorpe just ten minutes from the cottage.

You’ll love my place because of the beautiful setting, the cosy cottage, canal walks and beautiful sunsets over the bay. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (pets). Please note this is a double room, but have single mattress for third guest if requested! I have a collie, Jess, who is very friendly!

    The accommodation is on the ground floor. It comprises an entrance lobby, double bedroom and shower room with private entrance and off road parking. The room is comfortable and pleasant with a large window looking out to the front of the property. There is a TV in the bedroom, also kettle, toaster and mini fridge. The ingredients for a simple breakfast are provided, however, for a more substantial breakfast there is a cafe a few minutes walk away which opens at 8.30am and is highly recommended.
    Milnthorpe is a pleasant, friendly village which has a selection of shops, pubs, restaurants, take-aways, parks and there is a market on Fridays. It is a great base for exploring the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the Cumbrian coast all of which are in easy reach and very accessible. The village is the perfect starting point for a number of scenic walks with stunning views of the Morecambe Bay estuary. Maps and leaflets are provided to help you plan excursions.

    Beautiful traditional cottage With wood burning stove/fire in the lounge plus full gas central heating, this cottage is very cosy. It has lots of charm, traditional style range cooker and wooden/stone floors. Has a fully equipped kitchen dishwasher etc. and washing machine in the small utility room. It is ideally situated for country walks in this designated area of outstanding natural beauty. The sea front is only 250 yards away and there is a great Pub The Ship Inn a similar distance. The small village of Storth occupies a pleasant position on the estuary of the River Kent, and is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The name Storth derives from the old Norse word meaning 'a woody place'. In the seventeenth century, Storth was a small hamlet with a few scattered farms in the outlying area. The main industries in the area were sheep farming, fishing and the gathering of cockles and mussels. Storth Sea Bank was built about 1776 along the lower part of the Kent Estuary. The Kent Estuary is a haven for bird life, green shanks, golden plovers, mergansers and goosanders, oyster catchers and lapwings can all be seen along its shores. There are some great walks near by - Beetham fairy steps is a lovely walk from the cottage, Arnside Knott with its stunning views of Morecambe bay and the lake district mountains with Arnside Tower Keep behind. Or you can walk through the grounds of the beautiful Dallam Tower Estate. With beautiful views all around this designated area of outstanding natural beauty there is much to see and enjoy just walking out of the door you can be in beautiful woodlands or walk along the stunning sands to Arnside and Silverdale.
    The area is renowned for is beauty in terms of the local landscape which includes limestone pavements, beautiful woodland walks and views across the Kent Estuary and into the Lake District. It is also a well known for its amazing wildlife including butterflies, wild flowers and birds that can be viewed on the Kent Estuary or the nearby RSPB centre at Leighton Moss

A walk up Heversham Head is a must with a great view over the estuary.If your feeling more energetic Farleton Knott gives you an excellent view, this knott can be seen from the bedroom window! Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall (both having great coffee shops are only 3 miles from Barnside Cottage and can be reached on foot,bike or car. Milnthorpe is less than 3 miles away,a market is held every Friday,butchers,Booths supermarket,newsagent and lots of take aways are also available here. The market town of Kendal (5 miles),famous for its mint cake has many speciality shops and a tempting choice of cosy tea rooms,cafes,traditional pubs and restaurants.Market day Wednesday and Saturday. Looking for something more energetic..Kendal has a Leisure center, indoor climbing wall, dry ski slope or a walk to see Kendal Castle and over look the town are the places to head The Lakeside & Haverthwaite steam railway and the Aquarium of the lakes and Lakeland Motor museum are in easy reach.     Detached studio suite in the beautiful Lake District National Park. King-size bed, dining table & chairs, comfortable armchairs,TV, lobby, wet room, small kitchenette with mini fridge and microwave. There is a private sun terrace overlooking the garden and surrounding fields. Continental breakfast can be provided ( rolls and croissants, jams and butter, fruit juice, tea or ground coffee) at a charge of £2.50 per head per day. There is parking space in the grounds close to the studio.
    The detached studio/garden room is within the grounds of Landour surrounded by beautiful gardens and views across the surrounding countryside. It has self contained luxury accommodation with a king-sized bed, en suite wet room and a small kitchenette with a mini fridge and microwave oven (cooking by microwave oven only). Tea, coffee, sugar and milk are provided. There are two armchairs, a Television and a dining table and chairs. There is a private sun terrace with patio table and chairs where you can sit and relax and enjoy the garden and the views across stunning countryside. As the studio has its own private access guests can come and go as they please. There is space for parking within the grounds and secure lockable storage for bikes. Please feel free to wander around the gardens. There is a key code box for you to let yourselves in at your convenience.
    Witherslack is a quiet rural farming village. It is a popular base for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. It is about a 15 minute walk to our local pub the Derby Arms which serves excellent meals and has a wide choice of beers. If you wish to travel a little further, there are a variety of pubs which serve good food, and at least five of them only take between 7 & 10 minutes by car and they are all definitely worth a visit. Well known Whitbarrow Scar is the backdrop to Landour and is just 10 minutes walk away. The scar is designated a biological site of special interest and a ' national nature reserve' due to its supporting some of the best European examples of natural limestone habitats. It also features in 'The Outlying Fells of Lakeland' by Alfred Wainwright. He describes it as "the most beautiful walk in this book, beautiful it is every stage of the way.... all is fair to the eye on Whitbarrow". There are many other public footpaths starting in Witherslack, two of which start within 50 yards of this property. One of these takes you up Yewbarrow Fell and the other towards Beck Head and Whitbarrow Scar. If you wish to venture further afield Lake Windermere is only a twenty minute drive away or, for the more energetic, it's about a two hour walk across the fells. The popular village of Cartmel is also about a twenty minute drive away and is well known for its 12th century medieval Priory, the racecourse and its culinary delights i.e. the L'Enclume restaurant which was hailed best in the U.K. by the 2014 Good Food Guide Other places nearby to visit are Levens Hall renowned for its topiary gardens, Sizergh Castle, Holker Hall, Fell Foot on Lake Windermere and Grange-over-Sands where you can catch a train over the viaduct across Morecambe Bay to Arnside. For those that enjoy shopping the popular market town of Kendal is twenty minutes away. Then there is all of the Lake District within your reach by car or, if you enjoy pedalling up hills, by bike!

  • Realmente estadia encantadora, extremamente limpo e hospeda onde é muito acolhedor, desde servir-nos café da manhã até coletar e deixar-nos na estação de trem em Grange Over Sands. Local perfeito para ficar se você não dirige, pois há ônibus circulando regularmente e é fácil o suficiente para visitar outros lugares como Kendal. Lugar encantador para ficar muito relaxante e tranquilo, foi uma pausa muito necessária e definitivamente voltarei.

Os arredores são lindos e o estúdio era um espaço confortável e acolhedor para voltar depois de nossos dias de folga. As instalações foram excelentes. Café-da-manhã também foi ótimo.     A cozy 2 bedroom mid terraced cottage in the lovely estuary village of Arnside. Wood stove, rolltop bath, gas central heating throughout as well as underfloor heating in kitchen and bathroom. Easy access to Lakes & Dales but don't overlook the beauty on the doorstep - Arnside Village, Morecambe Bay, RSPB Leighton Moss, Silverdale & Arnside AONB, Kent Estuary.
    Poppies cottage sleeps 4 and comprises an open plan living and dining room with a feature stone fireplace and multi fuel stove. Please note there is no parking directly outside the cottage, but free on street parking is usually available within approx 50yds. The bright well equipped kitchen has a 5 ring gas hob, electric oven and microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer. There is underfloor heating and a handy drying area for boots and waterproofs. Upstairs are; -> 1 sunny twin bedroom with original Victorian fireplace (not functional) -> 1 double bedroom (std double bed). The estuary can just about be seen from the front bedroom. -> the bathroom has a rolltop bath and separate shower cubicle.     Situated in a tastefully decorated family home in the beautiful village of Silverdale near Carnforth. We have a lovely comfortable room with a new double bed, mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Off street parking available. RSPB Leighton Moss and Silversale train station only 2km away. A local bus service is available in Silverdale. There are some excellent eating places within a very close proximity to our home, including a well stocked Co-Op!
    We have a delightful double bedroom in a two bedroomed bungalow in the beautiful village of Silversale. We try to give guests the benefit of good accommodation at a reasonable price. You'd have your own private double bedroom (new bed), shared bathroom, and a shared kitchen. You will have your own mini fridge with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Guests are very welcome to join us in our living room for coffee and a chat or to watch TV. Our home has a good wifi connection. There are a few bars and hotels in the village where you can go for some great meals. We have a small Co-op supermarket less than one km away where you will also find a cash machine (ATM). There is also a butcher, chemist, and a post office in the village. A number of larger supermarkets can be found in Carnforth. Your bedroom is to rear of the property which is very quiet and tranquil. My husband and I are very quiet and friendly, you would be sharing our home with us. There is currently no TV in the bedroom, guests are very welcome to use the TV in the lounge. Please note, I do not have extra bedrooms so I regret I cannot accept enquiries for more than two guests.
    World famous RSPB Leighton Moss Bird Sanctuary is only 2km away. Beautiful Lake Windermere is only 40 minutes drive away and the rest of the lakes within easy reach. Silverdale is in a beautiful AONB and has many lovely walks either through enchanted woodlands or coastal walks that are unsurpassed for views of beautiful scenery. There are many interesting quaint towns and villages close by which can be easily accessed via a short drive or train ride away.

    Tahn is the smallest of our luxury camping pods, with it's own kitchen and shower room, it sleeps two adults with a travel cot available for one infant. An ideal woodland base for lovers of the great outdoors Just 4 miles south of Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District National Park, and on the Bay Cycleway. Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall and other amenities are close by. Local walks and easy access by car to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the Silverdale and Arnside AONB.
    Tahn - Small Pod Our smallest pod sleeps two adults on a double bed and a travel cot is provided to sleep one infant. There are four pillows and one double duvet. We provide all adult bedding and towels, and a cot sheet for the travel cot. In the living area there are also two small folding tables and a two seat sofa. This luxury camping pod has a kitchenette area, which includes a microwave, fridge, two ring hob, sink, kettle and toaster. We provide a basic range of pots and pans, utensils, plates and mugs etc. Kitchen basics such as tea towels, washing up liquid, cleaning products and cloths are also provided. The pod has it's own shower room with shower, toilet and basin. Toilet rolls and hand soap are provided. The pod is heated by radiators which run off a thermostat controlled combi boiler.
    Heaves Wood is situated about 4 miles south of Kendal, on the border of the Lake District National park near to the village of Levens. The National Trust owned Sizergh Castle and the beautiful house and gardens at Levens Hall are within walking distance. There are many local walks from the wood and easy access by car to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the Silverdale and Arnside AONB. Kendal is just four miles away. Our nearest pubs are the Strickland Arms about ten minutes walk away, and the Hare and Hound at Levens village. Both provide excellent meals. Also within easy walking distance is the Sizergh Barn Shop and café, well worth visiting to have a meal, walk round the farmland and woodland and buy locally produced delicacies and crafts.

This 3 story stone, mill-workers cottage is cosy, peaceful accommodation in a rural setting, yet within easy distance of some spectacular scenery. The Silverdale area, just 5 miles away is AONB and the Lake District, 25 mins drive, is a world heritage site full of it's own unique set of attractions. The stunning Yorkshire Dales is just 20 minutes drive too. Closer to home the millpond backs onto the Lancaster - Kendal canal and you can walk or cycle in either direction. There is a small wood burning stove in the living room, secure storage space for bikes in a little stone workshop, a pub within walking distance and an easy walk or drive to many dining out options. If stunning scenery and the rural life is your thing, this place has it all.
    The old millpond at the rear is host to many wildfowl, including swans, geese, ducks, herons and coots and at the front you'll usually spot ponies and goats.     The 'Barn' is fully modernised with every comfort for a pleasant stay with full central heating if cold. Situated one road back from the Esplanade and is only a few minutes walk from the Promenade. Its an easy walk up to Hampsfell with its glorious views over Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland Fells. Cartmel Village and race course are a 5 minute drive and Windermere lake is a 10 minute drive. All the south and western Lake district is on the doorstep. Grange is a small town with all amenities.
    The 'Barn' is fully self contained and separate from the main house. Downstairs is a cosy lounge/dining area with TV, radio and a basic kitchen (microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge plus a simple cooking hob and sink). French doors lead onto the patio. A bathroom with shower is also on this floor. Upstairs is a large pleasant room with a double bed and two armchairs. Internet is provided. The whole building has been converted to a high standard with full central heating and double glazing.

    Levens is a very quiet and peaceful village with a great shop, pub, and church! We loved it so much we lived there for 30 years and are keen for others to discover it and enjoy it as we have done.

Full of character, it provides a cosy base from which to explore the lakes, mountains and coast. Walk from the door up Heversham hill, for stunning views of the Cumbrian fells and estuary, or visit our 19th century pub for a relaxing drink, only a 5 minutes by foot. We provide a warm welcome to all, dogs and children especially.
    Olde Blue Bell Cottage is full of character, oak beams and stone walls hint at its origins as an 18th century coaching inn. Furnished in keeping with its old cottage character, we have added a contemporary twist, aiming to provide a relaxing and comfortable home for your holiday. The downstairs comprises a lounge, with a separate kitchen / diner. The kitchen is hand crafted by a local joiner, with a Belfast sink, halogen hob, electric oven, Bosch dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. The cupboards are stocked with all the basic essentials such as kitchen roll, foil, dishwasher tablets, etc, and spices, herbs and oils will help with any holiday cooking - we aim to provide a home from home. The cottage is a 3 bedroom property, it comprises a double and 2 twin bedrooms. All beds have quality mattresses so you can get a good night’s sleep. The bathroom is newly fitted with a shower and large bath for a luxurious soak after a day out on the fells; heated towel rail and toiletries supplied. Full gas central heating can be set by you to make the cottage as cosy or as cool as you like, and there is a coal effect fire in the lounge to snuggle up in front of in the evenings. Free wireless internet is provided, as well as a flat screen digital TV, DVD player, and Bluetooth speakers with radio. Outside is a courtyard garden, fully gated so it is safe for both young children and dogs. The village play park is a stone’s throw from the cottage, ideal for young children. You can walk in the village, directly from the cottage up Heversham Head, a small hill with stunning views of the Lakeland Fells and Cumbrian coastline.
    Heversham has a fabulous location, set in the middle of farmland and rolling hills, you can see the coastline and it is only a few miles to Lake Windermere. For local conveniences, the village of Milnthorpe is just a mile away, where you can buy almost anything, from sticky toffee pudding to a tailored men’s suit! Booths supermarket is open daily until 10pm, Number 17 Restaurant and bar provide a top quality meal out, Mirror Mirror is there for holiday beauty treatments, and there are Indian, Chinese and Pizza takeaways for easy holiday dining.     Fernbank was originally an apple barn, now converted to a comfortable 2 storey end of terrace self catering holiday cottage. Ideal for couples but can accommodate three. There is a cosy double bedroom with a standard double bed, (4'6" x 6'3"; 135 cm x 190 cm) and also another single room with an unusual 'bunk style' single bed with a short ladder to climb. High chair and travel cot available. One of the leather sofas in the lounge is also a sofa bed if needed. There is a spacious fitted kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, a microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The compact bathroom has been completely redecorated and refitted with a walk-in shower in January 2017. The patio is private and fully enclosed. Minimum stay 3 nights.     Warton Village is full of history, mentioned in the Doomsday book and was home to George Washington's ancestors (first President of the US). 2 pubs and a microbrewery in the village. Plenty of shops and 3 supermarkets in Carnforth less than 2 miles away. Situated in the designated AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) of Arnside and Silverdale there are numerous beauty spots and nature reserves in the surrounding area. Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve, used by the BBC for 2 seasons of 'Autumnwatch' is just over 5 minutes drive away. Easy access to the Lake District National Park, the Yorkshire Dales, historic Lancaster and Morecambe Bay with the M6 only 5 minutes away.

  • Tivemos um tempo maravilhoso na Maria / Nick's. Eles não estavam lá para cumprimentar-nos na chegada, mas isso não foi um problema como a comunicação antes e depois do check-in foi ótimo. A casa é pequena, mas espaçosa e confortável o suficiente para 3/4 pessoas. Está muito bem equipado e tudo parece bastante novo. Nosso pequeno estava encantado com o beliche e, em geral, com sua própria pequena sala. A sala de estar era muito acolhedora e ótima para relaxar depois de um longo dia de aventura. Tivemos sorte com o clima e tivemos algumas refeições no terraço. A localização também é excelente - dentro de 30 minutos de carro ou menos, você está em Lancaster ou nos lagos. Voltarei com certeza.

  • Tivemos um fim de semana muito agradável em Warton. Maria e Nick eram adoráveis anfitriões que fizeram você se sentir em casa. O chalé é ideal para uma casa longe de casa, até mesmo no leite, na geladeira. A casa está idealmente localizada na borda dos lagos e também no alcance leste de Lancaster e os dales. Eu definitivamente recomendaria a casa de Maria para quem viaja com crianças pequenas ou um amigo peludo. O nosso spaniel e filho foram bem atendidos.
