My favorite fish tacos (Baja crispy!) and my kids' favorite hamburgers. My mom's favorite beers. So, yeah, can't go wrong! Carry out or eat in, either is great! Really friendly waitstaff and bartenders too. Great local place that has been here forever and keeps it fresh.

OMG, really yummy flavors, super lively, and interesting Brazilian food. Close by, but not a walk probably. More like a short drive. Worth it!

My favorite Italian. Old mobster hang out, with the chops and the vibe to prove it. I have never once had a bad meal there, it's a little pricey, but it feels special and worth it, and you never want to skip dessert. (Mint vanilla cake anyone?) It's the kind of place you go on your birthday.

I have never once had a bad meal there, it's a little pricey, but it feels special and worth it, and you never want to skip dessert. (Mint vanilla cake anyone?) It's the kind of place you go on your birthday.

Bookstore (used) and coffee shop together on the lively Tennyson Street. I love sitting on the outdoor patio, sipping a cold drink and reading a book. They have live music outside sometimes in the summer too. Just a nice place, very unassuming and comfy.

Within walking distance (best to cross Sheridan at W41st, and then turn left and go down to W 44th to access it). More of a medium roast coffee than I prefer (I like it DARK) but everything else about this coffee shop is awesome. I go there frequently to have meetings or just work for a bit and chill. It's friendly and sweet, and kind of the local go-to place.
