Hiking
This is the “Lower” portion of the Rogue River Trail - starts across the river from the house on Jerry’s Flat Rd. Find parking on the side of the road just past the new market (about 3.5 miles up). The trail starts on the river side of the road. Look for the “trail sign”. It is primarily a “single file” trail and will come back out and up onto the road. You will then walk a bit farther and you will see the signs where the trail goes back in again. You can take this trail all the way to Huntley Park (comes out at their day use area). Your return trip could be back the way you came, via the trail, or walk the road back. Safety first when walking the road. It is a nice hike. A few small switch backs but a beginners hike. Take water, snacks and sunscreen. Also, a walking stick if you have it.

If the boat leaves at 8 AM be in line at 7 AM. Have someone be a placeholder and go into the office and check in. You’re odds getting in the first three rows are higher if you get there early. Hydrate the night and day before and don’t eat or drink too much prior to your departure. They will stop at Cougar Lane for lunch. Take a secure Hat, Sunscreen, Snack and Water to sip….and your camera in a water proof pouch….. jus sayin … ☀️
