Working fishing village, quaint, tiny streets, good food, cafe's, gastro pubs, great art and souvenir shops. Excellent views from the harbour. You can take the Mevagissey to Fowey ferry from here and book sightseeing boat tours. You can also get a good vegan pasty and eat it on the harbour, if you dont mind the seagulls eyeing you up! Gets very busy in summer.

The local area is steeped in mining history. The Cornish Alps, which are visable from most places in Cornwall, offer the most spectacular views from one of its most famous landmarks. Enjoy the museum but get up on the SkyTrails for a truly remarkable vista! Mountain bikes are encouraged for those with thighs of steel and a desire for downhills.
