Beautiful park more trafficked by locals. It has some of the same rock formations as Garden of the Gods, just not as prominent. Good mountain biking terrain especially for more beginner-intermediate skill level
Dogs are allowed, but leash laws are strictly enforced at this park. Rangers are known to give out tickets without a warning first

A large 25 acre off-leash dog park perfect for letting you pups run wild! Pro-tip: bring a towel for your dog to lay on in the car as it's very easy for them to get dirty! Also, there is a section of the park dedicated for smaller sized dogs if you're nervous about other dogs bullying your small dog

Great local hiking only 10-15 minutes away with many trails. We recommend Mt. Cutler for an easier hike. If you want more of a challenge, Mt. Muscoco is at the same trailhead

This is one of our favorite hikes a little further out of town (about a 50-55 min drive). It is a 4.8 mile roundtrip affair. The trail is mostly moderate with a few steeper sections at the beginning and end. Beautiful wild flowers in late spring and summer and wonderful Aspen views in the fall. You're rewarded with expansive views at the top as well as unique rock formations. Dogs are allowed!

One of our favorite hikes here in town. Access can be a little tricky via stage coach road. Highly recommend 4x4 with high clearance to access the trail-there's a way to access without however you will be hiking longer. We recommend doing a little research online

Colorado Springs most iconic mountain. You can drive to the top via Pikes Peak highway (always check road conditions first). There is a $10 per adult and $5 per child fee. Dog are allowed.
You can also hike via Barre trail (13 mile 1 way, more trafficked and strenuous) OR via Devil's Playground trail (~7 miles 1 way, less elevation gain, less crowded). Always check weather conditions and get a VERY early start if hiking any 14er. Only recommend for those in very good shape

Just 1 block away! Very easy to walk to shopping center with restaurants, coffee, brewery, and drinks
Goat Patch Brewery: delicious local craft beer. We personally love the hazy IPA, but the "It takes a tribe red ale" is an award winning red ale worth a try. There are often food trucks outside-check their online calendar for events such as trivia night or live music in the summer months. Great hangout spot!
Building 3 Coffee Roasters: Fresh and locally roasted coffee. Great study spot or hangout spot
Red point Cafe: Fresh and health-conscious foods
Nightingale Bakery: I would be impressed if you didn't buy anything based on the smell. High quality and absolutely delicious
The Roswell: Great selection of sandwiches, soups, and pizza. Good selection of cocktails and mixed drinks if you aren't the beer drinking type

Rent a "Pike Bike" across the street on cascade ave
There is an easy and safe bike lane on Cascade Ave that will take you to downtown (~2 miles)
There is also a bus system access point on the corner of Fillmore and Cascade. Just know it is not known for its punctuality or cleanliness! Definitely a cheaper way of getting around however
