Open throughout the day to 6pm you can have amazing breakfast, lunch bowls, and cake there. I even spotted Jürgen Vogel there, once who is a pretty famous German actor.

If you have more time on your hands and are willing to get outside a little: check out the Teufelsberg w/ its view over Berlin which is located in Grunewald, our forest. While you're already there you can also visit the old radar station w/ guided tours that inform you about its role during the cold war but also about the street art you can find there today.

Remember, supermarkets are usually closed on Sundays. However, throughout Bewrlin you'll find a Spätkauf on every corner (we call them lovingly Späti) so you'll never ever have to starve.

It's not as close as the Rewe and not as pretty but cheaper and the selection of fruit and veggies is always pretty good.

This is as close as you can get to a discounter (only 400m) and it has all the basics - it's very small, packed w/ stuff and a lot of corners. I think that's why I like it so much. It's not like the modern airy supermarket but more functional but a little chaotic and narrow at the same time.

Shopping

If you're spending a sunday here, check out the Mauerpark Fleamarket which is in easy walking distance from my place. It has gotten pretty touristy the last years - nevertheless, you can shop great little souvenirs like hand-printed totebags or prints from small local designers and artists.

It is right in front of your nose so you might as well do the little walk w/ its info plates and anecdotes that inform you about everything Berlin wall related and leads you to allegedly the last real piece of Berlin wall. You can end your visit in the museum here and breathe some more history.
