Very popular park. A sidewalk circles the lake that is packed with rollerbladers, dog walkers, and joggers. Nicer places to relax with a blanket on the northeast side of the lake.

The Denver Post ranked this pizza shop as the best in Denver in 2021. I don't know if I agree - but it is close by, friendly, and seems to be pretty authentic. It usually closes pretty early, so plan ahead! d

Plan for the weather!
Even in the summer the weather can change in flash! Always bring some layers especially if you are going to the mountains. You are also at altitude, so bring water and hydrate often. Sunscreen and snacks make for happy campers!

Getting around
Denver is pretty darn easy to get around. We are 4 blocks from the lamar station light rail, which will connect you to most of the city. We are also close to the Colfax bus, #16, which can have a rougher crowd but is often more direct. Other than that, get a scooter or rent a bicycle from Golden Bikes or Peak Cycles.
