This historic grist mill located on Bryant Creek near Sycamore, Ozark County, Missouri was constructed around 1897, constructed of a 3 1/2 story timber-frame mill building covered with red-painted weatherboards. Associated with the mill are the man-made mill pond and the limestone barrel vault constructed at the base of the cliff where Hodgson Spring discharges.

The store sells more than supplies, however, it's a community meeting place. The woodstove, gas and diesel, ice cream and chess boards on the front porch are the special touches that draw locals and tourists from all over. Experience local musicians picking strings on the front porch in the summer months; this is truly a unique American treasuer. The Henson Store is open 8am - 7:30pm Monday through Saturday. One of the best days to visit is Wednesday afternoons, when locals gather there to sit, visit and have a jam session.

Just three miles down the same gravel road, this sight is an authentic day destination!
