The original Mimi's Bakehouse - a friend of mine's family creates THE most amazing home baked cakes and treats, along with other delicious goods. Great place to sit and chill out, located right on The Shore, you might even be able to nab a seat outside and relax! Highly recommended!

Hands down, THE best Steak restaurant in Edinburgh. Beautiful environment, great cuts and fantastic service. Be prepared to shell out a bob or two, but it's worth every penny. TIP: Great date spot ;-)

TIP: Feeling a little lazy - you can take the car part of the way up and around Arthur's Seat. Quite good if you want to tick it off your bucket list.

Take a trip to the Quartermile (named the Quartermile because it is exactly a Quartermile from Edinburgh Castle - ohhh I hear you say!) where you'll find nice cafes and a buzzing scene leading down to The Meadows park, which is a lovely open spacious park that is popular with walkers, runners and those who just want to chill out. TIP: Take a BBQ if the suns out and people watch!
