This is a very famous Buddhist Temple, and it houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy. It is a touristy spot but well worth a visit.

This is a beautiful historical temple, without all the crowds of The Temple of the Tooth. It is situated on a high rock, and has marvellous views of the surrounding countryside. The temple contains a Hindu and a Buddhist Shrine, and has lovely old paintings.
It also has one of the most magical Peraheras (Buddhist Festival) in the area if you happen to come in September. And you are unlikely to see another tourist!

It also has one of the most magical Peraheras (Buddhist Festival) in the area if you happen to come in September. And you are unlikely to see another tourist!
This is a 14th century temple built on a rocky outcrop, and there is a dazzling gold painted meditating Buddha statue. Its well worth a visit.
