It is an excellent example of architecture from the Napoleonic period, when Corfu was part of the First French Empire. The design was inspired by the Rue de Rivoli, Paris.

Arillas beach is the perfect spot to watch the sunset, has really clear water and is quite long compared to other beaches, so perfect for romantic walks on the shore.

Blue 🔵 and green 💚 busses to get around
The best way to get around Corfu when you haven't rented a car or motorbike is by bus.
They are much cheaper than the taxis however require more time.
Please note that the blue busses are for close to town destinations and the green busses are for longer destinations.
