Parks

Atlanta is known as ‘the city in a forest’, and has some fantastic area parks: here are some of our favorites
Not just for outdoor lovers, though there are plenty of beautiful trails-the best being the Stone Mountain trail; a moderate mile hike to the top rewards you with a beautiful view of Atlanta’s skyline. There are also bike lanes, and kayak put-ins (rentals available). Aside from the nature aspect, there is a train ride, miniature golf, shops and restaurants. Lots of fun events throughout the year.
