Wineries surround the area from small boutique (like Bells Up) to large and elegant facilities. (Like Domaine Serene) just to name a couple of excellent wine makers. It’s best to call ahead and make reservations as most require them now.

A picturesque drive through backroads wine country of eola hills and Amity, cross over Hwy 99 between Lafayette and Dundee and take a stop at my favorite winery, (I love their animals!) Abby Road Winery and tasting room is fairly new and has super friendly people and winemakers. We usually just purchase a glass and stroll around their gardens and check out the barn hang-out they offer for overnight guests. The goats, “Hello”they are the highlight. I heard they just got a new piglet. Next door is Dominion IV tasting room in a Victorian house. Their huge Barn is a funky historic feature along with the tasty Pinot noir! Just a few minutes close-by is downtown Carlton a tiny town with several wine tasting rooms and a few restaurants. A good place to stop for lunch. Our favorite downtown winery is Barking Frog. They also have a tasting room in Newberg. Tell Cindi (owner) we sent you;)
