Parks & Nature
It's a long walk from the house, 3 hours if you're fast, 6 if you're taking the time to enjoy the view. We recommend walking to Furi, then to Riffelalp, followed by Riffelberg, and if you're still not tired, go for the top! If you knees get weak, there's always the Gornergrat train ready to swoop in and carry you to the summit.

It's a great hike that you do it from Zermatt (4+hrs) or from the Bahn, there's a breathtaking view of the glaciers behind, including the Dufour Peak on the Monte Rosa: the highest peak in Switzerland with 4'634m (15'200ft). Great spot for a sunrise or sunset, just don't miss the last train down.

This might not by the most cheerful place, but this grave symbolises those who have perished and could not be found. The grave is in the Mountaineer's Cemetery (right begin the church), a beautiful memorial ground dedicated to those lost in the mountains.
